Not really Liara related. But I managed to take a screenshot of one of my shepards.
I think it's a great screenshot.
Yeah, it's a nice one, good work. Although you won't find much love for Sheploo here. Not my opinion on the matter, I'm just saying which way the wind blows.
I know that. And truth be told, I actuelly only posted the picture so you could perhaps get a new sheploo to work with so to speak. Maybe create a new fanart with it.

Why would they have intentionally made the scene emotionally muted though, Night? Ashley and Kaidan get a emotionally charged scene. It still sends shivers down my spine when I watch it now. It's got a little oomph to it.
Why would they have Liara's scenes be devoid of emotion? I don't understand.

I told what's his name about it after the trail, so he knew what happened, without betraying Tali.
Guys, it's just my opinion of that scene. I can explain everything, but at the end of the day, why can't we just start talking about Liara? My opinion isn't worth squat. Seriously.
I don't mind discussing this...it is Liara related afterall.
I thought everyone was enjoying the discussion
Yeah, but things are getting to heated now. This is the Liara for ME3 thread. And as Pups said, it seems like I'm harassing the thread, which I'm trying not to do. I can fight my opinion all day, and I'm sure you guys might like fighting me, and saying I'm wrong, but I like you guys, and this is going on for too long.
No heat. You think what Liara asks you to do for her is morally wrong and you're reluctant to comply. I think a lot was out of character for her but that's how it was presented and for myself I make sense of it because my character trusts Liara, so Shepard hacks a few terminals but does raise concerns about Liara's behavior change directly. Yes there are limits to what one will do for a friend or loved one but I don't believe Shepards actions in helping Liara crossed the line. Not questioning Liara about it or not cautioning her would have been uncaring IMO. In any case her mission remains incomplete.

I think they wanted to measure just how strong a character Liara is by 'playing her down' while showcasing a bunch of new LI's who don't have the stigma Liara has from ME1 ( specifically the love scene that caused media flack ) but that's my opinion. It'll be interesting to see what they do if a significant amount of players remain steadfast with Liara

So in a way, you believe that they intentionally swept Liara under the carpet, made her as unappealing as possible in order to test the loyalty, passion and endurance of Liara's fanbase? And if he popularity declined somewhat, they'd feel justified in removing her from ME3?
An interesting, if somewhat pessimistic and cynical perspective of it. I don't think I agree, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I remember when BW came very close to being accused of peddling porn to children on Fox News and I try to imagine the staff meetings with EA where the Liara character was discussed. So I wonder if BW has the strength of it's conviction and initial vision or not. I do believe Liara has and will continue to have a very strong fan base which I believe will 'encourage BW to stick to their guns and not further trash who I believe is perhaps their best character

Maybe, but I don't actually believe that what happened with Fox News resulted in any significant changes for ME2, aside from the toning down of the love scenes. Are they now reluctant to have Shepard sleep with an alien? Obviously not, considering the ability to romance Tali, Garrus and Thane. The lesbian thing? I wouldn't say so, considering Kelly's romance and that homosexual content is included in the Sims. I think it's simply that BW went a little overboard with the rocky second chapter, and perhaps didn't dedicate the time required for Liara's scenes to truly do her character justice.

Yes they ' toned down' the love scenes. Interestingly the characters from those love scenes got 'toned down ' as well

I don't believe that Fox News said anything about the optional lesbian romance. Moreso, they had people on the segment grossly misinformed about the game, claiming that the main protagonist could have sex with any woman he wished in any way he wished, and that women are treated like sex objects in the game.
One of the two guests they had on the show said some/all of this, and when she asked by the other guest if she had actually played the game, she indignantly, (roughly) "of course not!" Some time afterward, several gamers gave her book negative reviews that said that they knew her book was terrible without even reading it.
Well of course they do.Collider wrote...
It's really disappointing. But I suppose that's the nature of the "news" sometimes. A lot of sensationalism and exaggeration - that's what draws audiences. Seems to me that people were playing the telephone game and things escalated from "sex scenes with mild nudity" to "full-frontal nude rape simulator." And then someone from Fox hears the rumors and thinks there is a gold mine.
