Been working on it, the games renderer doesnt like modified light or color adjustment textures. for most of the npc dresses, they use a color adjustment layer texture. as you can see here, even a slight modification made the dress turn completely white...

I like the white, though.

I like her face. Looks less grey than in many other screenshots of the scene.

I think the standard colors of her dress look nice enough, but it should have a higher texture resolution.

I do love Sunnie's photoshop jobs and mods to Liara and her Shepard. They're beautiful, she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Is there any video out there of a modded Liara replacing Shepard?

Thanks for the link, Erin.  It's pretty cool seeing a modded Liara but watching her be renegade was very OOC.

You know what's also incredibly jarring and OOC for Liara, ryn? Taking both her and Kaidan along to the final battle, and listening to Liara advocating sacrificing the Citadel Council. Very bizarre!

That's odd, since Kaidan is more 'Renegade' in every other scene.

You sure? I'm sure that the morality tier list is something like this:

Kaidan

Liara

Tali

Garrus

Wrex

Ashley

You can obviously alter Kaidan and Ashley's respective alignments, likewise with Garrus but that does not affect his advice or dialogue. Liara will always implore Shepard to spare the Rachni Queen though, regardless of Kaidan's presence. It's just that with every other situation Kaidan defaults to the Paragon advice, and Liara the Renegade.

That's because the rachni queen is a special case (Wrex always argue against it, Liara for releasing it).

Yep, just like I said. They're attempting to showcase Liara's incredible compassion.

I remember you saying that Liara thinks that you did the right thing in turning off the incapacitated man's life-support.  They all say "You did the right thing" no matter what you do, probably because Bioware probably didn't want to tie a character to a particular ethical stance, or make it seem as if the company was forcing its opinion on the player in some small way.

It doesn't matter, though, as from a role-paying perspective, she still thinks that you were being compassionate.

You can still say that the rachni queen situation is a showcase of Liara's compassion. She always roots for freeing it after all.

Also I don't get why she okay with turning life support from the brain dead guy. But apperently disaprove of killing the indoctrinated salarian prisoners on Vimire.

I think Liara would realise that there's a considerable difference between switching off the life support of a vegetative man to allow him to die peacefully and painlessly, and ruthlessly and brutally gunning down brainwashed prisoners who were still very much alive and conscious.

I fail to see how that killing the salarians is any more "ruthless and brutal" than turning off the switch. The salarians were so indoctrinated that they weren't mind-controlled. They were completly braindead, incapable of anything. I say putting a bullet in their heads is doing them a favor.

Fortunatly Tali has my back when it comes to the choice everytime I reach that point in the level.

"EDIT" Have to go to bed now. Cya all!

Crap, Lizard goes to bed just as I'm about to type up my response. I'll post it anyway, and I hope he sees it tomorrow.

Lizard, I think what Liara takes issue with is the callous, crass, brutal and ruthless way in which Shepard executes those salarians. We don't actually know if those salarians were completely braindead either, and may have been partially aware of their surroundings and may have maintained some kind of higher brain function. I believe Paragon Shepard also comments on at least giving the salarians some kind of chance to escape. That's the issue here, Renegade Shepard makes the choice to end their lives, unaware if they're truly braindead or incapable of receiving help until we learn of the true nature of indoctrination later. Jacob was completely vegetative, what amounts to a shell of a body. There was absolutely no life left in that body. The same can't be said for the salarians.

Plus, you know, the fact that Shepard guns them down in cold blood, whilst she respectfully switches off a life support machine for Jacob. I feel there's a fundamental difference there.

I agree, Les. There was no way Shepard could've known for sure. But there was no need to gun them down in either case. Maybe they'd have been able to flee after all. If not, the explosion would've killed them just as quickly as the gun. There's also the argument that they could've been a danger for the team, but then you just leave them in their cell.

Either way, Tali's always decided to shoot the Salarians herself, no matter what. I guess the Quarian with the gun overrides the decision of the Commander any day.
