On the subject of fanservice - I came up with a good way of approaching it when I do my art.

There's nothing wrong with making something attractive and sexy, as long as it has substance to back it up.

Pure good characterisation = good

Pure fanservice = bad

Good characterisation AND fanservice = good

Samara's costume is fanservicey - but her character is also brilliant, so it doesn't matter.

If she just threw herself at you, then it'd just be trashy.

I can just imagine her right now in her labcoat, wearing those glasses. She's working at a remote digsite and peering down a microscope to examine an ancient Prothean artifact. That's our Liara!

I agree with that.  No ME character is pure fanservice, as they all are deeper characters beyond any sexual appeal.

Yeah, that's one thing Bioware do which I really like.

Even if they start a character with "we need to make them attractive and sexually appealing" - they still give them substance that fleshes them out into a decent character.

Ehhhh it's sorta on hiatus.

I've established a new canon with 'Freya's Story' and I'm working on that at the moment.

However, as you've shown interest, I may finish it off just to tie of the loose end when I can.

Like I said, I don't mind that Liara is fanservice, b/c she is also alot deeper and that and is flesh out and has additional substance to her character. Likewise with Thane, Miranda, Samara etc.

I realy liked because shows Liara and Shepard coming together and try to find some happiness, I would realy liked if we were able to see something like that in the game.

I'm hoping the deep, emotional romance reconciliation between Liara and Shepard is one of the most epic and moving scenes in the series by far. Liara finally opening up and revealing the full extent of her anguish, despair and guilt, Shepard promising never to leave Liara alone like that again. I really do hope they realise that potential.
