TIM will most likely have his goons out looking for me and my defected crew!

Well, you did take his ship and his protege!

I have wondered who will fund Shepard now that TIM/Cerberus is out of the picture.  The Normandy needs fuel and the crew (which I saved, of course) need fed.  Fish food needs bought, salaries need paid, etc.  Perhaps they are setting it up so that Liara can do this, if she seizes the SB's empire?

I see funding from the Council, my Shepard is still a Spectre at any rate!!

Shepard can make Kelly shake her butt for money.  I can see it now, Shepard in purple bellbottoms, a leopard-print jacket, white ruffle dress shirt, star-shaped glasses, rimmed hat with a feather in it, diamond-topped cane, platform shoes, and a pimp-walk.

Kelly: "Shepard, honey, I love you!"
Shepard: "Shut up, baby, I know it!"

Liara to be next DLC?  With salt firmly pinched, I give you an absolutely "no way to verify" statement from Facebook.

There WILL be a Liara DLC, this will also be the DLC that's going to
bridge the gap between ME 2&ME 3. It will be about Liara and her
dealings with the Shadow Broker hence bridging the gap. The reason how I
know this is because I have a friend who works at EB games/gamestop who
has a friend that works for Bioware. Obviously I know very little of ...
See Morewhat goes on there, but I do know Liara DLC is
going to be the next one out. (there are unused audio files in the game
already). Also adressing why there is so much DLC for ME 2...well
because believe it or not, about 20-25% of the game was cut, these DLC's
are that "restoration". Having said all that, good work Bioware,
delivering premium content and on time:) unlike Valve=P

Here's the link to the original comment.  You'll have to scroll down a bit to read it, the first big chunk of text.

Edit: I don’t necessarily buy this myself, but it is interesting nonetheless.  I would have bet money that the Liara/Shadow Broker dlc would come just shy of ME3’s launch date.  However, IF this is to be believed, then perhaps Liara will take TIM’s place during the gap.  Casey Hudson did say there were going to be more stories as in “more than one” bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3. I know he can stretch the meaning of a word until it almost snaps, but singular and plural are pretty concrete concepts.  Anyway, here’s to hoping it is true and that it will be good and most importantly, minus the Hammerhead.

This may be a little late, but... I am not going to hold my breath. I don't believe the whole EB employee having a friend inside Bioware that would risk their career by blabbing unreleased info to some sales clerk at a game store.  /facepalm

I have to go with Sunnie here. As depressing as it is... I am beginning to believe we are going to see a Shep/Liara romance go the way of Revan and Bastila from KOTOR. The more time that passes without confirmation or hint of DLC, the more I believe closeure will not come for us Liara lovers. Even in ME3.

I also don't believe anything coming from a source other than Bioware itself. A friend of a friend of a friend doesn't really give me warm and fuzzies.

"Call Me Sally opened at 1.33 billion, proving that painting an undercover asari Spectre in human makeup is still good fish-out-of-water comedy..."  (From Cerberus Daily News)

It makes me smile to think of Liara trying to act "human", when her only knowedge of how to do so is from Shepard, and Ashley.  Since the Asari appear to humans to be female, she would probably have to emulate a bit of her harshness.

EDIT: Typo.  "Liara", not "Asari".

What are your thoughts on the ME2 Liara situation, Batt?

I was excited when I landed on Illium and Liara was mentioned and said she was waiting for me to go find her.
After the disaster that was Kaidan Alenko on Horizon, I wanted some nostalgic feelings that wouldn't end in sadface.

When I first saw her, her voice scared me. I was really susprised as how much of a twist her personality took on between ME1 to then. She was the same yet she was polar opposite at the same time. The revenge thing was awkward and  made me really wish I could just say "What the hell happened to you?" and get a straight answer, even if she literally couldn't answer because of the bugs. I almost got a feeling of "I'd almost trust the Illusive Man more than her now :pinched:" feeling, even with her telling me she's the only reason I'm still alive.

But all in all I still really like her as one of my more favorite characters from both games. I really want her back into the squad in ME3 and be a major player along with Wrex/Ash/Kaidan and existing squadmates.
Taking TIMs place if you screw him over makes sense, but her being a secondary source of info works just as well. (I kept the base instead, I really want to see how that plays out.)
A DLC with the Shadow Broker makes sense and could happen, it'd make a good bridge to build to ME3. Sets you up pretty well.

I must admit, the first time I heard her voice in ME2 where she threatened to flay that guy, I was like "OMG DAYUM!!" (in a good way). I didn't think it was in-character for her at first, but after I talked to her a bit, I realised it was just a facade - and one she needed to be good at her job, to survive even.
I hope, well it's pretty much a given, that we'll be able to resolve the Shadow Broker situation. We'll probably be given the choice to finish it and have a talk with Liara where we the outcome is either Liara reverting back to her old self (with the new experiece and the 2 years taken into account of course) or have her stay the way she is, hardened....or Renegade if you want to call it that.

I kept the base in all of my pts so far....I'll probably make one where I destroy it, though, just to see how it turns out. So far TIM and I are getting along just fine, but I still expect him to turn on me at some point.....but oh well, we'll have to see how it all plays out....

I think it kinda makes sence why Liara would turn into what she is in ME2 after the events leading up too it. My problem though is that the cameo scene was just poorly written and felt like Walters wanted to make Liara like Wrex. Good idea, but written poorly, not to mention we can't even comfort her.

That scared feeling was mixed in well with the HOT DAMN! feeling too, in a good way. It was cool but scary.
I got to see Wrex not long after that, and even if he could not come with us, it was good nice nostalgic feeling that stuck with a happyface.
I LOVE the way Shepard's face looks after he headbutts Uvenk XD

@kraidy....Yes, I think the way Shepard was written in that scene did the most damage to it.

After the mission and her opening up to you, I was like "What the hell, Shepard, the woman you love just opened up to you and showed you that she's in pain... COMFORT HER ALREADY!!"

That dialogue option alone could've turned that cameo into something a lot better, imo!

@Batt...Wrex's cameo was awesome. The way stopped what he was doing and pushed the other Krogan out of his way! That's how you should do it when an old friend and comrade shows up, even after you thought he was dead *lol* :-)

Wrex was the only good squadmate cameo in the game, ironicly Walters wrote Wrex in both games.

Yup, if you look at the cameo by a character point of view it was good. It showed growth in liara over the two years, how much she was hurting and how much she chagned. it made sence she would not be the same, but as you said it was how Shepard was writen that ruined the scene.

Lets look at the kiss, why did't Shepard say what's wrong? I can make many theories why this happen with the popular one being that she is not sure if this is the same man/woman she fell in love with love, but it's never touched, in fact the non romance cameo was better then the romance cameo and that's plain wrong.

It was the same thing with Ash and Kaidan. It's completely understandable why they acted the way they did even if they pissed you off. I was bothered more by my Shepard's responses to them.
"Hey Kaidan. Itz been too long. How ya doin homey? :wizard:"

"Wtfs, I thought you were dead for two years and that's all you have to say!?"
Worse if you romanced them. You get a nice long hug but nothing apart from them saying they loved you. :o

Ugh don't get me started on the Ash scene.

Shepard: Ash, it's go to see you again.
Me:   WTF!!!!

I think the problem with the cameo scenes is that people don't look at it by a character point of view. If you do, it makes sence why Ash, Kaidan and Liara are how they are. However it was Shepard and his poor written dialog that made the scene a joke. Liara fans get a kiss, and what did I get? I got a hug and a big F*ck. I swear, Walters should stay away from characters he never wrote and characters that he is not even into.

No, a lot of people don't get their character pov. I cringe when I see people start going "Omg ash is liek such a **** now ima bang tali" x.x

I never care if you don't like the character, but sometimes certain reasons irk me...

We really should get an extra achievement for staying faithful over the entire trilogy, imo.

I am not afriad to admit, I cheated on Ash with miri and I plan to stay with Miri because I like her alot more. In fact with my Shepard, I did't think about Ash until Horzoine(sp) I was happy to see her but both me and her moved on and I respect that, however Liara and Ash/Kaidan scene should have been better written, not for the character, but Shepard. It's like they did this on purpose so people would cheat on there LI <_<

I agree, I have many shepards, some stayed loyal, ironicly the only loyal ones are alot of my female Shepards and they stayed loyal to Liara. My male Shepards however? I always end up with Miri :(
