I love the look in her eyes when she says that! It would make an awesome sig.justinnstuff wrote...
I'm thinking of making a sig with "I've never been so sure of anything in my life" and see what I can do.

I just finished playing the crash site stage on mass effect 2 and how come liara was not in any of the memories or did i miss something.
No, you didn't miss anything. I think that mission is meant to be moreso of remembering the Normandy and it's crew as opposed to your squad, as you discover what happened to them later in the game.

This, and I don't think it showed any of the people still alive. Only the ones who gave their lives in service to the Alliance. I plan to do this mission after the suicide mission on my next run because I think that it would take Shepard a while to face what happened.

IIRC The only actual person that was shown was Navigator Pressley... And I am also waiting until after the Suicide Mission to do the Normandy crash site... Shepard needs to get this whole Collector thing sorted out first, so he has more time to be emotional over the loss of his ship and crew.

What was the actual reason you came over here?
To talk about your thread in our thread?
I think Tali is a pretty cool character, no reason to hate on us Liara Lovers.
Someone said we were unstickied because of the Liara page. Came to look through and found insults to my thread.
I liked Liara at one point, 'til she sold my ass out to dry.
Still better than that **** Ashley though.
No Liara = No Shepard alive in ME2.

Yeah I kind of capitalized on that in my last sig. It's depressing at times. I'm thinking of making a sig with "I've never been so sure of anything in my life" and see what I can do.
Justin, that'd make an awesome sig! I too love the look in her eyes as she says that, the way she looks at Shepard too and steps forward. A special moment.
Yeah, the dull grey that are her eyes now are so sad. Symbolic of the emotional turmoil that she's going through in ME2. :/

Its seems like a lot of the Fan threads are having a heart to heart...the Miranda one just went through one.
Your support really is appreciated, friend. It does feel like alot of us LI fans need to stick together. Us Liara fans are worried that she'll get shafted again in ME3, whereas you ME2 LI fans are worried that you'll have your characters cameoed due to them being killable.
Thanks!

I'm not so much worried as I am hoping that ALL LIs get treated fairly. I think BioWare listens to fans and the sheer interest generated by the LI subplots will make them take a serious look at it for ME3. *crosses fingers*

Indeed! The outpouring of disappointment and general unhappiness from the ME1 LI fans leads me to believe that BioWare won't just leave Liara, Ashley and Kaidan's ME2 appearences as they are. They have to expand them somehow in DLC. Alas, there are strong rumours with evidence for Liara DLC, but not for Ash or Kai. Yeah, just got to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best with Liara!

This has probably been mentioned countless times in this thread but did anyone think it was over between you and Liara when first meeting on Illium? I kinda did on my first playthrough and then proceeded to create a LI with Tali, an action i've regretted ever since watching that "Why Liara is hardened" youtube vid and reading about the Omega 4 scene with the picture
This is the main reason why i'll be starting a new playthrough soon (more important than the fact i lost one of my crew in the suicide mission) , just need to find the time to lock myself in my room for a week or two on end.

Welcome, Luke!
I knew about Redemption before the Liara reunion, so I knew why Liara is seeking revenge against the Shadow Broker. However, my initial reaction to the reunion was one of shock and sadness, but I didn't believe that the romance was over, just that Liara had suffered alot in the 2 years Shepard was gone and it was affecting her behaviour towards Shepard. When I finally broke through Liara's shell, and she had explained what happened, that just sealed for me and it broke my heart. The guilt she had been feeling for handing Shepard's body to Cerberus must have torn her up inside. Her sadness and suffering when she explains it disspelled all doubt that she still loves Shepard, and is still an inherently good person that's found herself stuck in an undesirable situation, someone that needs comforting and help.
Now, I'm not annoyed or upset with Liara at all, but rather with Shepard. He/she sits there like a statue, not comforting or reassuring Liara at all. It sucks!

If you want, you can always join the fanclub. Just click the links in peoples sigs. We have a bunch of threads in this post and in the fanclub talking about numerous things, all things Liara. Good luck with your new playthrough

Welcome. I never thought it was over. I only thought that it was a seriously botched scene that leaves you completely in the dark about the status of the relationship with no reason. If the developers for whatever reason want to cancel the romance, they should let the character say so in-game. But even if that had happened, my Shepard would have been too sad to just jump to the next best alien. I was quite happy about the picture scene in the end, as I think it has more meaning than any of the love scenes that are in the game. But of course it's just too little, and can't redeem the terrible job they did with the whole Liara part on Illium.

I'm stoked for this as well, even tho I didn't romance Liara, I would really enjoy helping a friend out of a bad spot.
