Well, the Shadow Broker would have to be another Asari. It's possible, but you already have Aria, a major asari. It wouldn't surprise me if the SB turned out to be a Krogan, or some other long-lived species since some people in Mass Effect give you the impression that he's hundreds of years old. Or they'll make him an AI. I don't know. X_X

Well the TIm Drew wrote in his book was a twirling mustache villian, Walter fixed that in ME2(and thank god!)

I think Liara may be aware of just how much the SB could possibly be assisting the Reapers.

Totally never crossed my mind, but I'm glad you said it. It could certainly be interesting. There wasn't a whole lot of indoctrination going on in ME2, I think I'm starting to miss it.

Well the Collector General was... something similar as to being indoctrinated, right? I'm not sure if I'd call it that. It was complete control that he could just let go of, not brainwashing per se.
That's how I see it, I guess.

And now I just answered my own question like an idiot. Wonderful. <_<

Hey, maybe Liara will possibly find a way to resist indoctrination in the Shadow Broker's databanks? That right there is a massive plot and story role.

I dunno though. If indoctrination is supposed to be something that takes a while, and the reapers are coming out of dark space to kick the crap out of us, there might not be any need for an indoctrination resistance.  If there's some data to help supplement whatever Shepard has on that datapad at the end, that could be nice though.

I guess some kind of indoctrination shield would still be good though, when I think about it. I mean, if a science team can still be indoctrinated by a derelict reaper, then, a way to stop that is very good. I'm sure everyone and their mother is going to want to study the reapers once you kill them.

I don't want this series to turn into another Star-Wars-prequel style everybody-in-the-galaxy-is-related to-everyone-else clusterfark. I'm totally and completely fine with the Shadow Broker being someone or something heretofore completely unknown to me. I don't want Liara's father to be someone I've already met. I certainly don't want the shadow broker to be her father.
