What about alignment affecting Liara's appearance? Paragon Liara goes back to wearing her old labcoat. Renegade Liara wears Benezia's headdress and cleavage revealing dress.

The other problem is: who would you close off to which alignments? Paragon Shep goes with everybody since our more Renegade options (Ash, Miranda, Jack) can become more Paragon. The only one who can become more Renegade is Kaidan.

Im sure the characters itself would have turned out different if they would have decided to go for different Li options for Par and Rene.

Damn... that brings back memories. I remember photographing the OXM screenshot and sending it to you and Pups. I also remember getting more than a little misty-eyed when I opened up the magazine, and saw her for the first time. It was such a terrible mixture of emotions. I remember from my time lurking back then some people speculated that it was Legion confronting Liara, as you could only see a small piece of the N7 armour. They thought that explained her hardened expression in the screenshot.

Yep, Casey is full of hot air. The ones who "cheated" are the ones who were probably mostly indifferent to the returning LIs in the first place. I can't answer the "more compelling" because my love for Miranda and Thane is different from my love of Kaidan and Liara. A difference in kind, not degree. I refuse to choose between my favorites in both games. I want them all.
