I'll admit that if there was another F/F romance, I probably would play it - BUT I would never cheat on Liara - I'd create a new Shepard.

Afterall, I don't want to play as a Shepard that would do such a thing to her blue girl...

I was going to do that by playing as a renegade soldier that romanced Ashley and then Miranda, but it's impossible for me to play as a renegade. I feel like such an **** when I do.

Proberly because they don't want to A: Create a new import save game data with no ME1 romances or B: Don't want to replay the same import Shepard 2 times to have one loyal version and cheating version.

Because some of us have limits on how many times we're willing to play the first game? I'm creating a single Shep, but I'm an obsessive who'll do anything to avoid the prospect of a Liara/Miranda catfight. I'm already restless and looking forward to returning to my FemSheps. (who will also be recreated from scratch--thank you RROD). Cheating saves time.

jib, you aren't missing much. I've dome Miranda's and most of Tali's and found them lacking in a way I didn't find Liara's.

I think they all have their good parts, but overall, I really can't get into any of them as I do with the Liara one.  I mean, parts of the Miranda and Tali ones are touching, I really like Jack's romance scene at the end (though, the build-up to it leaves much to be desired), but overall they don't do much for me.  I'm not the kind of person that's a romance completionist either and will only do the ones I really like.

If I don't like any, I'm single!

Well, my renegade Shepard romanced Kelly - kinda annoyed that doesn't "count"

Only person I would have been interested in was Samara, and they denied us that....

Heh. Will never romance scale-itch Kelly on my canon playthrough!

But I admit that As soon I saw the romance option with Samara, I reloaded the autosave that happens everytime you enter a new deck. Made a save just before talking to Samara. Chose the romance path to see if it lead to anything. But since it doesn't, I always allow myself to enjoy what is undoubtly the best ME2 romance.

Also before you all burn me at the stakes for wanting to cheat on Liara: If the Samara-romance actuelly lead to cheating, I would simply reload the save I made, then continue to stay loyal to Liara. Then once I completed the game, I would play with my single-shep.

I'm betting the Samara thing will be flagged...the question is, will it have any effect on ME3? I guess it all depends on how big her role is.



I don't flirt with her, btw, and just do the 'friends' thing, as she's not really my Shepard's type.

Samara is my favorite option for a MaleShep. Breaks my heart. I would have been very tempted to cheat for her. As it is...

They aren't going to handle something as important to people as romance in optional DLC.  The DLC will be focused on the story and will set up what needs to be set up in ME3.  The Liara romance will still be on hold until ME3, though.
