So sure of that, are you?

I've been sniffing around the Kaidan thread and mostly feeling a little lost.

I've found the Kaidan thread to be quite a pleasant place...some nice people hang out there.

Been there a couple of times, i have been in all the support threads o.o

I've been there once. Saw pictures of Kaidan with a hairy chest. I'll never go back there again.

But I'm sure it's a nice place with nice people.

I saw a picture of Tali with x10 boobs and never went back.

Fat Tali FTW!

Nah, why should they do such a thing? It wouldn't make any sense! :(

I don't think they will either...that's not really their style, from what I gather.

Hm sounds good. ^_^ I remain carefully optimistic about Liara future role.

Well, goodnight, have to go. Sleep.

In honesty, I am really psyched about the wonderful potential Liara has as a character for future development. I mean, her grim-darkification in ME2 was extremely disappointing, but I believe (aside from the fact that things are going to be, regardless, amazing in ME3) that she's going to make a serious comeback. If not in ME2 DLC, than in ME3. And I think a Dragon Age Origins: Awakening-size expansion is in the works. Something with enough mass to deal with the Shadow Broker. But in all honesty, what really matters to me is that the realtionship between her and my male Shepard can be picked up again properly in ME3 without any resetting of it at all.

Here's to the best blue angel in the gaming universe!

Actually, I found her 'darkification' wasn't too off-putting, as I was kind of expecting a slight change in personality; it had been two years in the story's timeline. People change.

Of course how it was implemented, I'm still a bit shakey with, but heck, it gives me the resolve to see it through till the end of ME 3.

After all, it is now more or less war!

If Liara's role in ME2 has something good is that it adds even more dramatic potential to Liara/Shepard relationship and the reunion/reconciliation in ME3 can be something epic and very emotional.

Because the two have gone throught so much and yet they continue to love eachother even being separated by death, time, and distance.

A love story like this deserves an happy and really good ending.

True. Wolf. Although, I'm more then prepared to face a plausible fact that there is a possibility that Shepard won't be able to cheat death for a second (or was it third) time. It all comes down to what is required to be done in order to defeat the Reaper threat ... once and for all.

I also fear that possibility but usualy whith that kind of scenario we still hve a choice may not be a good one but still a choice like in DA:O

I don't know how would Liara react if she loses Shepard again and so soon.

About Liara's role in ME2 the place where for me is more clear the bad writing is the reasoning behind Liara's refusal to join Shepard she dosen't join Shepard because she wants to make the SB pay for what he have done to Shepard however from this line of thinking we can deduce that Liara is giving more importance to revenge than helping Shepard stay alive. Which makes no sense.

The only reason that I see to justify this is Liara being 100% sure that Shepard will win and survive, but even this reason is contradicted by Liara's words in ME1 before Ilos where we can see that she is not a kind of person that is blinded by hope or unrealistic optmism.

I don't actually mind Liara's character development and the direction they're taking her in ME2 in terms of her losing her innocence, naivete and worldliness through her suffering and the pain she's had to endure. It's giving the perfect opportunity to showcase just how emotionally strong, resilient and the level of adaptability she posseses in order attempt to carry on with her life. It has the potential to be very interesting, and compelling.

All I have a problem with is the execution. It's in dire need of exposition and clarification. I hope we get that soon in the Liara DLC.

IMO even in ME1 she was not innocent and naive she was just shy and socialy akward wich is understandble given her position a military ship with most of the people seeing her as a enemy. The only thing in ME2 that is somewhat buried is her compasionate personality once again understandble given her situation.

See... this is what needs to happen!!! Happy... and epic love story! Unfortunately... BW had the opportunity to do something like this with KOTOR (Revan and Bastila) and they blew it five ways from Sunday. I'm trying very hard to maintain a positive attitude but past experiences make me believe that this will not occur. There may be a DLC... but given how BW totally messed her character up in ME2 I'm expecting a complete reset of the romance.

While I agree two years has passed and people do change... Asari live for a 1000 years. Based on what she says in the first game and melding with a mate... I just can't see Liara ditching Shepard so readily even after two years. Especially not when she knew what Cerberus was doing with his body. Her character in ME2 is just too standoffish to believe, realistically speaking. And the no acknowledgement of romance between them really set me off.

As for Katsumi's mention... it only reinforced my thinking that BW is somehow not going to bring closure to this. Technically they already have really with katsumi's comments. "Were an item?" "Hard to see her again." I was not pleased with that at all.

They could have made an epic 3-arc lovestory. Instead they made the 2¨nd nonexcistant and proberly gonna reset it in the 3 one.

My good mood has already been ruined by this reminder! <_<

I also see the reminder from Kasumi as a way to futher break moral. By telling them that even people in in-game universe thinks the relationship is dead.

Yeah the whole "Revan/Bastila" thing didn't end well.
They're all lovey dovey for a year. She has his child and then he bolts.
Great job being a father Revan!

Let's hope that doesn't happen in ME.

In KOTOR2 it states that Revan leaves after a year.
Bastila has a descendent in TOR.
Satalie Shan is also descended from Revan.
Put two and two together.
