Yeah the whole "Revan/Bastila" thing didn't end well.
They're all lovey dovey for a year. She has his child and then he bolts.
Great job being a father Revan!

Let's hope that doesn't happen in ME.

Lol! It's that how Revan/Bastilla romance ends? Where is that stated!

In KOTOR2 it states that Revan leaves after a year.
Bastila has a descendent in TOR.
Satalie Shan is also descended from Revan.
Put two and two together.

Havent played KOTOR 2 or followed TOR. So I couldn't know. Still thats pretty lame. My hope for a decent Liara romance conclusion is being crushed now.

To be fair Revan doesn't bolt on purpose.
It's because there are Sith out there that made him and Malak look life pansies.

The ME1 LI's are likely to get their own happy endings in the ME3 epilouge.

The things whith Liara story at the moment are not good but I want belive that this part is only a way to test Liara/Shepard relationship and to show how strong the felings they have for eachother are. And I like to think that people learn with each mistake(Revan/Bastila relationship ending) and that the potencial in the Liara/Shepard history is to much to waste.

Her bio on the TOR website states she is a direct descendant... not neccessarily a daughter. A granddaughter perhaps? 300 years have past since KOTOR II so I doubt it is Bas's daughter. Also... it doesn't mention being connected to Revan. Is that written somewhere else?

KotoR was the first supposed trilogy that started great and very promising, but went nowhere. Ironically, as far as I remember, BioWare didn't want to make part 2 because they didn't like the strong influence of the Lucas imperium on their creativity. And now? Now they've lost their independence completely.

I didn't say child.
descendent could mean first generation onwards ad infinum.

And While supposition It's probably accurate given what we know about ol Bastila from KOTOR.

Somewhere it was mentioned the Jedi where concerned because of her heritage. After 300 years and a normal human lifespan (I hope, big 3 EU books have gone absurd with this - 60-80 is the new 40s!) that makes no sense at all to me, but chronic stupidity seems a Jedi Council member power.

Not a first generation descendent.
Direct can be a child, a grandchild, and so on and so forth.
No one is saying that the Shan from TOR is the child of the Shan from KOTOR.

And most EU sources say that humans in the SW universe live to about 100.
Which is only about 15 years longer than in some of the most advanced nations today.

*gazes wistfully into the middle distance*
So do we all Nerevar-as, so do we all.

Also on a side not to that statment:
It's very possible.
My grandfather is 90 and he still runs a mile and a half to and from work everyday.
He recently attended a Metal concert.
So yeah some people age very gracefully.

ME is already on the same path after ME2 I hope that the ME3 can reverse the tide and  bring a epic end to this trilogy and of course an happy ending to Liara/Shepard romence.

And if they have Shep/Liara have a happy ending then Shep/Ashley, Shep/Kaidan, Shep/Tali, Shep/Garrus, and so forth are also going to get happy endings.

Either all the LI's are going to get resolution or none of them are.

Yeah, my mother´s side of the family is pretty good till they reach the 90s too...just not that good.

To go back a bit in topic, I found it was fun in ME1 when we learn Ash´s comment about looking good at 106 was a different kind of joke as it seemed at first (150 is the new 100, though Anderson behaves as if he was a man in his 60s from today and not in half his lifespan).

Of course I only mentioned Liara because is the only one I care about but I also want that all others LI to have an happy ending. But I hope that they will make each LI  ending different and unique and not the same for all like the thing they did on horizon.

All of them with happy endings? BG doesn´t point that way, there where happy ones and sad ones. ME is not DA:O but they´ll probably want to add drama besides a Repaers win not canon ending.

If they decide to make some LI's happy and others sad to add drama I think that the target for that will be ME2 LI's because ME LI's already had their dose of drama. Perhaps the consequence of cheating will be a sad end.

The Thane romance will have him die really early on. Unless of course they cure him, but let's hope that isn't the case.

Well, they already said Mordin is 48 SALARIAN years old, so maybe they will back with Thane too.

I think Mordin and Thane are the 2 out of 4 characters most likely to be cameo'd. Unless of course ME3 takes place directly after ME2 then there's a chance they will back as squadmates.

Also not Liara-related but does anyone else think it would be cool in ME3 that the conclusion to Mordin's story will be that a place of learning or science would be named after him in his honer. After he died of old age.

Almost all ME2 LI have reasons that can be used to keep then out of ME3 the only that I can think that don't have are Jacob, Garrus and Jack.

Mordin have something in his honor might be difficult because all his important work is secret.

Liara is the one that could finaly recive recognition for her discoveries related to the protheans.
