Almost all ME2 LI have reasons that can be used to keep then out of ME3 the only that I can think that don't have are Jacob, Garrus and Jack.

Mordin have something in his honor might be difficult because all his important work is secret.

Liara is the one that could finaly recive recognition for her discoveries related to the protheans.

What? Jack is one those who seems likely to get cameo'd.

Mordin's many achievments might be secret. But helping defeating the reapers proberly won't be and should be enough to have something named in his honer.

IMO even in ME1 she was not innocent and naive she was just shy and socialy akward wich is understandble given her position a military ship with most of the people seeing her as a enemy. The only thing in ME2 that is somewhat buried is her compasionate personality once again understandble given her situation.

Of course. Liara had killed people prior to the events of ME1 too. She even says herself that she needed to protect herself using her biotics whilst on remote and hostile digsites, as she would occasionally be attacked by groups of mercenaries and privateers.

What I'm saying though is that Liara has lost her idealistic and worldly aspect to her personality. She's become very jaded, and has suffered alot through exposure to the underhanded and seedy side to the galaxy in the Terminus Systems. That's where Liara has definitely changed in ME2. She's more jaded and cynical now.

I say Jack because she doesn't have any aparent reason to leave Shepard especilaly if she's an LI, but this didin't stop them with the ME1 LI they didn't have a reason they invented one this was what they did with Liara.

About Mordin I thought that the honer was with him dying before ME3.

Jacob can probably be recalled by TIM, I don´t know why people think he will be an enemy when the Reapers are on their way. They might keep him aboard to try to get him out of the Scrappy status.

Yeah, Mordin is STG, no fame outside the group there.

Liara could become big among the asari and by extension the galactic comunity. If it was not only a bluff, she already has asari commandos at her orders (probably some of Benezia´s), helped take down Saren, stop Reaper invasion and is o the way to take out SB. Before 110.

You have to look at the character from a no-romance perspective.

Even if you don't romance Garrus he still has no reason to leave.

Jack has no desire to stay on the Normandy if you don't romance her.

I think that she was exposed to that side of the galaxy not only when she was in the terminus but it started right after she joined Shepard, in a way this is the turning point for Liara. But you are right about her idealistic view her coment in the council chambers is a very good example of that.

Yup...Liara's Break the Cutie began the second she left Therum. As soon as she was released from that Prothean security device, it's been mostly downhill all the way. Except for meeting and falling in love with Shepard, of course.

From a non romanced perpective she has none reason to stay so can go eitheir way stay or go. From this point o view most likely go since she doesn't have any larger role to play.

Exactly. I doubt bioware will make all the LI's squadmates back in ME3. Especially those who have no reason to stay if not romanced (Jack & Thane).

This is one of the things that give the Liara/Shepard romance a great depth because in a way is Shepard that starts corrupting Liara even if without intention. And at the end of ME1 he is the only good thing in her life and and even that is taken from her.
I always like to role play my Shepard blaming himself for everything that hapened to Liara for this same reason.

Thats excatly how I see Liara's situation in ME2. In way the love they had for each other is the reason Liara is suffering.

The big problem is that we can't do nothing to ease that sufering even it being exclusively caused by Shepard. The only feelings that we see in the reunion are Liara's.

This happens in almost all reunions with the exeption Wrex.

Indeed, which is partly the reason as to why I think it will be handled in the bridging DLC, and that Shepard will comfort Liara at last. Liara's character and story arc will be featured and handled in the bridging DLC or xPac.

Yeah. Shepard is one huge brick throughout ME2. Lacking any sort of emotions.

Liara: Because I couldn't let you go. I'm sorry! :crying:

Shep:

If they decide to make TIM a enemy wich I also think unlikely given the incoming threat of the reapers they could make an expansion and in that expansion we would be able to deal with the SB and finaly be reunited with Liara again and confort her and continue the romance. And the other part of the expansion would resolve the other ME LI story involving dealing with cerberus.

Actually, femShep does get to vent a little ... in the Jacob romance. That's like cruel and unusual punishment. As for being w/ Liara, yeah, it's pretty tragic.

Check this out. This artist has created concept artwork for Liara in ME3 based upon how they predict she will appear in the game, and how her character will be developed. Have a look, I find it quite interesting:

Hmmm, that second one looked rather interesting. Certainly established her position and authority within her style of dress.

I can understand what can kind of theme or message he was going for. But none of those looks very good IMO.

In the Liara scenes, yes. But Shepard shows plenty of emotion in other scenes in ME2.

But again, yes, in the Liara scenes Shepard's like:

As in, so blank it can't even be personified by an emoticon.

Except for that last line "Be careful out there, Liara. Don't turn into the thing you're hunting." Shepard seems genuinely concerned with that line, I thought.

Yeah, I believe that's what the artist's intention was. To design attire for Liara that portrays her in a confident, authorative, professional manner, but which is still very true to her character. I like it.

They are good but I think that Liara in ME3 will return to something more in line with the labcoat than with the dress. It fits Liara personality beter IMO.

best one, imo. Dark, authoritative, and a little sexy.
