Yeah. Shepard is one huge brick throughout ME2. Lacking any sort of emotions.

Liara: Because I couldn't let you go. I'm sorry! :crying:

Shep:

In the Liara scenes, yes. But Shepard shows plenty of emotion in other scenes in ME2.

But again, yes, in the Liara scenes Shepard's like:

As in, so blank it can't even be personified by an emoticon.

Except for that last line "Be careful out there, Liara. Don't turn into the thing you're hunting." Shepard seems genuinely concerned with that line, I thought.

Disagree. I'll find it ironic that Mark Meer managed to improve alot compared to how monotone he was in ME1. Making Shepard feel more "alive" But at the same time. They made Shepard show less emotions than he  did in ME1 (and that was only one scene).

That's one of the reasons I always fight w/ her. At least then, Shep is expressing some kind of emotion.

To clarify, I wouldn't mind it if Liara wore something like that as her casual attire whilst on board the Normandy. Wearing it whilst engaged in combat out in the field, though? Noooo!! Bring back armour!!

best one, imo. Dark, authoritative, and a little sexy.

Plus it has heels, and we all know that Liara will have heels in Mass Effect 3.

True. If there had been a romance specific scene for Liara, I think it would've been best if they had ended up fighting. For two reasons; it would add another layer to Shepard and Liara as a couple and it would be able to carry that "rocky second part of the romance" better than what is there.

Hmm..this one isn't bad...I also like the one on the far right in the other pic for some reason....looks like a power suit.

Please pardon my plentiful powers of prescient prophecy. Image IPB

I wouldn't mind heels, I would be able to look past them. They could even give her character a visual flare of business-like tones. Just don't give her a plunging neckline.

It's generally agreed that Liara is wearing heels under her dress in ME2, as well. She appears taller than she did in ME1. Looking at her full body shots, if she isn't wearing heels under her dress then her legs are unrealistically long.

The far right one looks like Engineer!Liara to me.

And now  the mental image of Liara fighting the Necromorphs from Dead Space just popped into my head.

I'd actually prefer Liara in a power suit instead of her dress when she's working as an information broker. Gives her that air of confidence, authority, professionalism, intelligence, elegance and sexiness that I love.

Perhaps but I prefer to think that she's not wearing heels IMO Liara wearing heels is litle OOC.

Why? One could say that Shepard wearing evening wear is out of character.

Huh, had a funny thought when LET mentioned a "power suit". Almost mistook it as defined as exoskeetal armour, not a business suit type.

Coming to think of it, it would be rather stange if she was gunning through combat in something like, say, Space Marine power armour.

ARGH, enough of the randomness, my mind! Back in your hole!

Liara needs to appear authoritive, professional and smart. Heels are a part of her business attire.

I agree that Liara wearing heels during combat is OOC as she's a very practical person, but wearing heels elsewhere is fine.

For me the problem with Liara wearing dresses heels and even power suits is that all of then IMO point towards ocupations that Liara don't like. She's is fighter and a information broker not because she chose but because the situations have demanded her to be this a fighter first and a information broker later. That's why I prefer Liara in a labcoat because shows Liara as a scientist the job she have chosen and the job that makes her happy.

This is why I think heels are a litle OOC, but if we don't see the they would not add nothing to her apperance(i think we can't see then because they are under the dress?), and I don't think Liara need heels to make her appear all those things.

She doesn't hate all aspects of her job as an information broker. She'd love the gathering of knowledge and information, and using said information to come to complex conclusions via contained evidence. Techniques and talents that she would have developed whilst working as an archaeologist. It's just the strongarming and threatening of her clients that she hates, plus the general underhanded atmosphere to working in a seedy and corrupt area like the Terminus Systems.

Liara actually seems to enjoy the profession of information brokerage in and of itself, as in the act of gathering and sorting through information. And, if what she's manage to accomplish in two years is evidence enough, she's very good at it.  What she doesn't enjoy is the nessecities that the job entails.

That's because that aspect remindes her of the job she likes.

Heels aren't impractical in an office environment, though. They actually help to make the wearer appear very confident, capable, professional and respectable. That's exactly what Liara needs when she's working in the cut-throat information world.

I never have used heels so I based this in second opinions the notion that I had were that heels weren't  the most comfortable footwear. So I might be wrong about them being impractical.
