A believe the word she used was "shill", but trivialities.

It's possible that she would try to use their relationship in a smear job on Shepard, but if you really think about it; having a relationship with an asari does not seem like that big of a deal in the Mass Effect universe. Even in ME1. There was an asari whose daughter was sired by a human. And the references to a human celebrity with an asari seemed to be said in ease of passing.

Maybe she would still try to use it, but it's probable that she's smart enough to know that if Shepard made a fool out of her in the first interview, then trying to smear Shepard with a relationship with an asari would make her look like an even bigger idiot.

If Liara had to deal with an overzealous Shepard fan, she would most likely take care of it in a creative manner. Most likely verbal. Something smart like that.

I can imagine Liara and Shepard being the cover of a very important magazine and giving a interview talking about the love that they have for eachother and take a lot of amazing pics(wich is easy with Liara) to ilustrate the interview. This waay they would put an end to all speculation about their relationship and show eveybody that they are toghether and nothing will change that.

Yes that would be a good celabration  for the end of ME3 just Liara and Shepard. Perhaps this could be the final sceane Shepard and Liara both happy, relaxed and having fun.
