I was having a look through the ME Wiki, and I found this on the bottom of this page. Apparently, Liara gives you 5,000 credits if she is your love interest. Didn't know that. Hey, at least it's another way the romance is being recognised in some form, right?
Also, I am eagerly anticipating the big emotional Liara moment that is inevitably going to come out of her whole business with the Shadow Broker and Shepard's corpse. With the emotional torment that she's suffering and her guilt, there has to be a moment in which she's going to open up completely and break down to Shepard, finally allowing her emotions to flow. And when that does happen, I want to be there for her, to comfort Liara and tell her everything is going to be okay and, most importantly, that she's still loved and will NEVER be alone again.

When I was looking at that Prima Game Guide the other day, they didn't even mention anything about Liara, Ashley, or Kaiden as love interests when those characters came up. The only time they're referenced is in a small box at the beginning sequence mentioning who shows up when you're evacuating the Normandy. Nothing was said about a special greeting, the picture in your cabin, or a cutscene during the Omega 4 relay sequence. Liara recovering your body isn't even worth a note.
All the imported missions too were absent. There was no mention of the rachni queen agent, Gianni, or Conrad stuff at all. A colonist for Feros is there, but not anything about Shiala being there instead if you didn't kill her. You get a small text box on Tuchanka saying that if you saved Wrex he'll be there instead of Wreave and that is it.
It's really hard to not a get sense that continuity was treated as something extraneous. It wasn't even worth mentioning in that guide except for like three small text boxes in the entire thing. If it had been my copy instead of someone else's I probably would have just thrown it away in disgust.

Its not that uncommon for guides to overlook details or even add stuff that isnt true,irc the DA:O guide has some instances were this was the case.

You get Liara in the evacuation scene if you romanced her, or whomever didn't die on Virmire if you didn't.
You get Kaiden on Horizon if you're female, unless Kaiden died on Virmire or you're male, then you get Ashley.
You get Wrex instead of Wreave on Tuchanka if he survived.
And that's it.
Edit: I mean it almost seems as if the game was made from the start to be standalone, and then import specific stuff was tacked on as time and inclination allowed. Which makes a lot of sense considering Liara's scene being so generic between a LI and non-LI.

That makes sense, IMO. If Liara is your love interest, there's an added dimension to her guilt in that you were in love with each other, and that would have tormented and eaten away at her considerably moreso than if she is just Shepard's friend. Therefore, that makes her anxiety and worry during the initial reunion far greater, hence we get her running up to Shepard to kiss him/her, before she regains her composure and the worry starts to set in again. If she wasn't romanced, then though Liara is still guilty, there isn't the added factor that the two are in love.

I loved it, arduico. Beautiful, and very emotive, and there's so many happy memories with Liara!
I loved how you expanded on the picture scene in the video, and the part when Shepard is sitting there reminiscing about Liara and the happiness they brought each other, and the fact that they're now apart, was beautiful and very sad. But, just like you showed at the end in the video, the deep love that Liara and Shepard have for each other means that everything will work out again in the end.
Fantastic work, well done!

hmm I guess I'm not a supporter, mainly because Wrex and Liara have such awesome positions in ME2. I want them to have a pretty large ass role, but I don't know if I'd feel right about being a squad mate.
Something about having the most powerful woman on Illium on your side...is delightful. Same with Wrex.
I hope she is integral to the plot in some way though..

Saurel, Liara is not enjoying her role as an information broker, though. She's suffered a lot, as is going through all kinds of emotional torment, as evidenced by when she opens up to Shepard after you do her missions. She says that she wants to go with Shepard, but can't due to her vow to end the Shadow Broker.
Liara obviously still cares deeply for Shepard, and as soon as the Shadow Broker is taken care of she's going to want to join Shepard again.

importing is a new feature that BW hasn't done before, perhaps they were limiting themself not only to test the water in terms of how well recieved it was but also in implementing it ( eg if they go too far it could cause problems on the coding end ). that said it doesn't explain why the writing in terms of your LI was handled in a rather lackluster fashion.
that aside I've found game guides to be largely misleading or out right wrong in alot of cases but I do admit I haven't bought one for yrs so quality might have improved

Meh I made my point. There simply isn't much in the way of good discussions on the main forums and I have nothing good left to say. I'll lurk the group and wait for news on a Liara Expansion. Aside from that I'll pretty much just troll the new Liara hate threads as they pop up.
