Of course, I like it too. Adversity in Shepard and Liara's relationship will only make it stronger, and reaffirm just how deep and powerful their relationship and connection to each other is. It shows just how strong they are.

If their relationship and love for each other can survive this troubled period, then absolutely nothing will ever break them apart!

There is way they can have thane alive for ME3. Thane will get treatment because he now has something to live for again. He has his son a true friend and if you romanced him, a lover.

We've also been told time and time again that ME2 is the 'dark act' of the trilogy, and ME3 will be 'lighter'...I hope that applies to characters as well. So, Thane's tragic illness and Liara's guilt and torment are soooo ME2, but will be completely gone and replaced by happy in ME3!!

If Bioware keeps on following trilogy rules (which they have been) then ME3 will have a dark begining and have a dark build-up. Expect people like Anderson to die and expect everyone to die if you made wrong choices in the game, but the last two to half hour will be very light.

This is Biowares perfect time to show the emoitnal side of Shepard during the gam. They have to show a broken Shepard.

As in every great story where love is involved the main characters tend to lose each other in some way only to have huge come-together later on in the story. By losing something we learn how much we needed it. By losing friends we learn that life alone is sad, by losing love we learn that only together we really mean something. It is powerfull tool that can be used on us to achieve the goal that devs and writers have for us. Now we care abaut Liara (or any other char) becouse the story rings so many bells in our memories of our lives. So I am not afraid abaut Liara comeback in ME3 neither should You Every good love story (not those writen for EMO kids and such) have a happy ending
