IMO keeping the base in ME3 will lead to cerebus being a reaper alie because cerebus goals are the advancement and persevation of humanity and in ME2 what Harbinger ws trying to do in his opinion was elevating humanity to the pinacle of evolution what stops TIM from agreing with him after the study of the base?

I have the feeling that TIM's idea of humans being topdog is more in line with us rulling the galaxy and crushing the aliens under our boot. So no. I doubt TIM would do that.

And for gods sake, let the renegade action for once be the better choice for once.

When Shepard tell that he could use it to build a reaper TIM don't say that he would not do it.

I wonder what Liara would tell Shepard if he keeps the base since she would be against it,.

There'll probably a super weapon that gets pulled out of nowhere for those folks who A: decided to be shut their eyes and ears during the entirety of ME2 and got killed or B: decided to be an idiot and get into a franchise in it's third installment.

But hey, none of that is important. Sales are what's important. God bless.

You mean like in ROTJ where all of a sudden Luke is a master jedi :bandit:

Keeping the base will have pros and cons it should.

The con should be that no matter how paragon Shepard was. Humanity will take advantage of the tech it has, and use it and crush the other aliens races into submission once the reapers are gone.

Atleast in my opinion it should.

I would go further and say TIM makes everone slaves. The ultimate price.

I dunno. I decided to keep the base for story and because I thought it may be the better choice. Might work out for the better or it might make me drop to my knees and scream no Darth Vader style.

pros= you have a better cj\\\\hance to find a weakness and alot of lives won't die.

cons= TIM, nuff said.

Most likely.
I'm sure he accounted for you not keeping the base already. He's gotta have some sort of plan, something such as "Shepard screwed me over. Just as planned."
He is definately Mr. Justasplanned in my book.

Well, that's excusable because he only CALLS himself that, and at the end he gets his ass handed to him on a platinum platter.

:blink::mellow:

Did you wtach the same movie? He got his ass kicked in ESB, never went back to Yoda but all of a sudden in RotJ he is a master jedi, and keeps on kicking ass. that's a huge plothole.

The choice that should mater most is if you have satyed loyal to Liara or not everyone that have betreyed Liara should end bad and the ones that have stayed loyal should have an happy ending.
This means my Shepard would have an happy ending.

We could probably get into a good discussion about this, but lets not, it's the Liara thread and Woo is watching.

I doubt cheating alone will make you have a bad ending where people die, not everyone will have a LI.

"Reward" for being faithful will probably be no more than a personal one.

What are the most likely role that Liara will play as squademate in  ME3? She probably will replace TIM as information provider but she would do it from the Normady.

I know that's unlikely to happen but that way the relationship between Liara and Shepard would play a huge role in ME3.

Don´t think so, it´s redundant with TIM around. Even if you destroyed the base Shepard is still his best chance to save humanity, don´t understand why everyone thinks he will be an enemy.
Does Liara really need a plot reason to come back after dealing with SB? She loves Shepard and also knows waht is at stake in ME3.

Thought Luke only gave himself Knight rank in ROTJ, and rather than grow in power he finally used what Yoda taught him rather than whatever he wanted to do.

Could be either one of these, or in fact both simultaneously. Liara could retain her information network and act as the quest giver for ME3, similar to the Citadel Council and TIM. She could accomplish this whilst also being a squadmate and being on board the Normandy.

There are a few possibilities. My absolute favourite is that she's a squadmate, and that her character is well written and developed in that role.

She doesn't need a reason but I would like to see Liara as a squadmate of course but a squadmate with an important role like the one she had in ME1. I agree that TIM will not be an enemy in ME3 I just prefer Liara.

As far as information goes, I'd still say Timmy beats out Liara in that.

Here is a small question:

So we all know that Jacob's role on board the Normandy is to come up with some stupid reply that offends the newly recruited squadmate.

What would he say to Liara when she is recruited, and how would you like to beat Jacob up when he does it?

Jacob: "So I heard your mom got mind-controlled by Saren.  Then she got shot up by Shepard.  Sucks, huh?  I bet it hurt like a **** afterward."

Then, I dunno, standard punishment is a trip out the airlock.

When Liara is recruited in ME3 she will go directly to the captain quarters she and Shepard have already lost to many time to lose even more hearing Jacob talk.

Welcome aboard the Normandy Liara. With your skills, I'll think you will be an excellent addition to our team.

That if your comfortable with having an information broker watching your back.

I would like to see how Liara will react when she notices how "friendly" Kelly is whith Shepard sepecialy if Shepard had a diner between freinds with Kelly, but just the dinner. How do think Liara will react?

Jacob saying the "priiize" dialogue? Creepy, and vaguely misogynistic.

Liara saying the "priiize" dialogue? Hilarious, and adorable! I can imagine her saying that to Shepard with a barely concealed amused grin on her face, before the pair of them fall into fits of giggles after Liara has said it. Ha!

No. I meant what would your reaction be when Jacob says something stupid and offensive to Liara when you just have recruited her. Just like he does to most other squadmembers.
