On the PC, I always found the handling to be quite perfect actually. I never heard Liara complain about my Shepard's driving. To keep it on topic. ;)

I hated the way the Mako handled.  To make up for it I always used to imagine the crew inside, Shepard driving like a maniac and using the boosters at the most inopportune times,  Tali laughing and giggling as she bounecs all around, and Liara pulling her seatbelt tighter and asking Shep "is it really necessary to drive at these speeds...WATCH OUT!"  as I hit the boosters at the edge of the cliff. :D

I loathed the Mako, especialy when I would hit a pebble and do a 540 spin as well as end up facing the opposite direction of where I needed to go upside down...Posted Image

Oh, dear god. When I drive the Mako, my squadmates are scared. I have tumbled off of cliffs, gotten stuck on geth turrets, and driven straight into lava. I was so relieved that ME2 didn't have one.

I was having a look through the ME Wiki, and I found this on the bottom of this page. Apparently, Liara gives you 5,000 credits if she is your love interest. Didn't know that. Hey, at least it's another way the romance is being recognised in some form, right?

Thnx for pointing it out, the tiny romance spark just got a bit brighter after reading this Posted Image.

It was the level design that was a bit over the top on some planets. Yet I always saw it more as a challenge to get from A to B as quickly as possible. If you make proper use of the steering wheel and the booster, it can work very well.

But most importantly, it added a lot of atmosphere. I love this whole space/future thing, and to be able to drive on these far away planets and look up into the beautiful sky is just nice. I never even tired of the cutscene with the dropping of the Mako. ME 2 just isn't the same, with it just teleporting you into a level. "Streamlined" - bah! <_<

I guess the Mako was designed with having the enemy laugh themselves to death in mind, makes you wonder whos in charge of weapons design in the Alliance:blink:

Honestly the only REALLY nice view was on X57, where you could see chunks of the asteroid breaking off.

That actually happened to me, I was even in the exact same place.

Is that Virmire? I went of the edge there before I even knew you could crash to your death.

(ok, Mobile Opera + full form does not equal 'win'... Still.)
Since my squad my last playthrough was Ash & LiLi quite often, I lol heartily at the idea of Liara commenting adversely on my driving... while Ash is all, "Do the words 'read the bloody contour map' mean anything, ma'am?"

I just rescued Liara in ME1. <3
I love her, she is always so cute.:wub:<3<3
Liara in ME1 has an innocence, but she is worldy at the same time.
It pains me to see Liara in ME2, knowing she is now emotionally suffering because of what she had to go through to get Shepard back.

Anyone notice that when Shep says, "Good to have you on the team Liara". He/She seems to smile while saying it? (I am assuming MaleShep smiles as well). It was always love at first sight.

I still wish that the ME2 combat system was in ME1, lol.

ME2 will be a lot better when the Liara Expansion comes out.
Another reason it has to come out, in my opinion, is because the story is far too large to fit into a side mission in ME3.
Liara couldn't suddenly say, "Shepard, I have suddenly found the most powerful being in the galaxy all by myself when no one else could. I somehow have his exact location and he has almost no guards, let us kill him".
It just couldn't be done in ME3, there has to be a full Expansion to tell the story.

I still believe BW could fit something in the Expansion for the other ME1 LI fans, their writers are good enough to pull that off.
It makes me excited thinking about it, BW could not even do the Expansion unless it had an emotional, deep, and beautiful storyline. (And romantic for all of us who romanced Liara<3).
Why would BW even bother writing the comics and having the SB involved if they didn't have something great planned?
They could have skipped the comic books and just said, "Cerberus got your body, that is all there is to it".
Instead, they actually came up with reasons, a story, and put Liara as the main character.

Liara is my Love. :wub::wub:<3<3:wub::wub:

Driven, I have seriously thought that Liara is being manipulated somehow, and that her initial interactions with Shepard, before she opens up, are against her own will and that she is holding back.

That might be.  Did anyone else noticed how many "contract" references where made while on Ilium?  The concierge had a dialouge option for into, and there was the Quarian worker special mission in the Eternity lounge.   So slavery/indentured servitude through contract would not necessarily be out of the question in Liara's case.

She obviously cares deeply for Shepard, LI or not, but something is just not quite right during the rest of the reunion.

I can't remember which thread it was on (maybe this one?) where it was mentioned that Bioware has a nasty habit of turning out favorite ladies (ex. Aribeth-NWN, and Bastilla-KOTOR) to the "dark side".   If this is the case, they need to get some fresh new ideas, because I'm sick of this one.

So, we get 500 more credits?  Never noticed that.  I would've rather got an extra dialog option but I guess you take what you can get.

Liara thinks 500 credits can.  Or wait, Liara's writers think 500 credits can.

I agree, Liara has absolutely no reason not to come, she could even find the Shadow Broker sooner if she was on the ship for one example. But it is a good thing she stayed on Illium, or else she would have had a chance of dying in the collector assault and having little to no role in ME3.

About this  ^ ^ ^ ^

I've seen a few people mention this and that the dev's have emphasized it,  i.e "Liara couldn't be with  you in ME2 because she CAN NOT DIE  due to her role in ME3."   Phewy!  Liara is a software, coded construct!  0's and 1's  The dev's can "code" her as not dying.  Why they just can't admit that she didn't fit into the story form they wanted to use (recruit mission, then loyalty mission) is weird.
