I was wondering the other day how they would handle all the 'romance confrontation' scenes in ME3?  I expect people will get something generic (given all the possibilities), though, this is a bit stupid.  I think it should play out differently.  Let's pick Miranda and Thane, for instance.  Two very different personalities there.  Plus, Liara has a history with Miranda, while she does not have one with Thane.  Plus, Thane is dying from a terminal illness, while Miranda isn't.  I would expect that Liara would have show more sympathy towards him, than towards Miranda.

I also think that the confrontation in ME3 should play out different especially if Shepard in ME2 have romanced one of the ME1 squadmates since Liara probably sees them as friends and then they go after Shepard. I'm also interested to see how the cheating will be handled if the ME2 LI have died in the base.

Yes, the confrontations should logically play out differently. Tali, Garrus, and Miranda should have more capacity to hurt her because they know her and what Shep means to her.

Liara's an interesting one to discuss, as she potentially can have conflict with all six ME2 LIs.

Seeing the way she treats her relationship with Shepard in ME1 Liara don't seem to like "brief encouters", besides since she knows/hopes that Shepard will come back she will never do that to Shepard. And she didin't feel those needs for 50 years so 2 years would not be a problem.

The only combination I don't think I could engineer is Liara/Miranda. Liara would handily win any others.

She is a Maiden now.  Maybe she's been feeling those impulses.  If she's been stressed out this entire time, she's doubtlessly needed to have outlets for relieving her stress.   What those are, exactly, are not for you or me to know.

For the way she looked when Shepard meet with her I would say that the only stress relive she had is hunting the SB. And for her became such a sucesseful information broker in just two years she must have spent all her time working.Weren't she a maiden in ME1 too?
