Well, SB for the Collectors or the Collectors on their own, there isn´t really anyone else related to the story. I just hope there is a reason he just doesn´t kill Liara, there should be as she points out Nyxeris (sp?) wasn´t there to kill her.

Perhaps the SB plans on using Liara somehow to get to Shepard? Thus, just keeps an eye on her but does not kill her.

I have a feeling the SB was pulling alot of strings in the background, just like TIM. Which is why if they do SB DLC, we will only see a a epic meeting with the SB, Liara and Shepard, Taz fight, SB get's away but Liara gets all his data and information. Cue ME3.
Or the relationship between the SB and Reapers is detailed and Liara finds out Feron's fate, whatever it may be. And at the end of the Tazzik boss fight, Liara is faced with the choice of shooting a disabled Tazzik or not.

Or perhaps the Reapers are interested in Liara for some reason. Or maybe the SB and Reapers are setting Liara up in a situation that will ultimately net them Shepard.

But that'd mean Liara loses a hand!
Although, that might be an interesting development, if ringing close to cliche.

I believe that the reason as to why the Shadow Broker doesn't order Nyxeris to kill Liara outright is because it needs her to recover the sensitive data that Liara is now in possession of. The SB can't have that data in anybody else's hands, as it's contents and the information it contains could cause the collapse of it's empire. Therefore, the SB orders Nyxeris to hunt for the data, which Liara has hidden. Nyxeris needs to attempt to gain Liara's trust and manipulate her into helping her reveal the location of the data. If Liara is killed, then all chances of the data being secured and recovered are lost. It's a very delicate operation, one that requires nuance and espionage. That's why the SB doesn't have Liara killed. It needs to recover it's data.

IMO can be one of four reason:
1- Liara is close to find the SB all his others attempts to kill her have failed so he tries a less direct aproach and sends Nyxeris infiltrate Liara's organazation to kill her but she haven't done it yet because she haven't had an oprtutity.
2-The SB is using Nyxeris to manipulate Liara in doing his job so she is more an alied than a enemie no need to kill her(it would explain why TIM says that Liara is working with the SB)
3- The data cache has importante information that the SB can not allowd to be floting around and he needs Liara to find that data cache that's why Nyxeris is there.
4-The SB is Liara's father and he don't want to kill his daughter this would explain why he send Feron to feed her false information insted of send someone to kill her and the blue suns mercenaries were there to ensure Feron's loyalty not to warm Liara. In this case Nyxeris is there just to ensure that Liara don't cause any major damge to SB organization.

Another question from the comic is whatever sent Liara to look for Omega in the first place. JJM is has more things to fix here than in KOTOR.

I trust BioWare that they won't have a possible herpderp outcome of the inevitable Liara/SB confrontation be that you side with the SB and kill Liara. That's not Renegade. That's just plain evil.
In those kinds of situations, you're allowed to be Renegade, not stupid. If the Shadow Broker turns out to be indoctrinated, as we believe, siding with him would just be plain stupid.

SB being Liara´s father is actually possible without forcing things, so it would depend on the writing how good/bad the revelation would be.

Liara went to Omega because Feron contacted her saying he had information, as I recall.

I've wondered the same. From what I can tell, Liara was searching for the body on her own. She just goes to Omega for some reason. The SB became aware of this, and sent his agent Feron to lead her astray. Feron must also contact her at some point as he sets up a place for them to meet. I'm not sure if Feron contacted her before Omega (and told her that the body was there) or after she arrived.

TIM wanted Liara help in recovering the body so when he knew she was looking probably he ordered Feron to tell her where the body is after all Feron was working for TIM.

It's a possibility. They will use and manipulate Liara into bringing Shepard to the SB, only to find out it's a trap! Then Shepard will be caught and a helpless Liara will be forced to wacht while the reapers pawns escape and Harbinger is taunting her. Thanking her for playing her role perfectly in Shepard capture.
But it would completly crush Liara!

Yeah, that's probably what happened. I wonder for how long was Liara searching before this? Where was she searching at? How was she choosing which places to search?
I wouldn't even know where to begin (or how to begin) searching for a body that got spaced.

I actually believe that Liara, in her guilt and grief in the immediate aftermath of Shepard's death, resolved to find the body of her friend/lover to put it to rest. She made tentative inquiries via the information network as to the possible location of Shepard's corpse. Meanwhile TIM, who also wants Shepard's body, realises that Liara, whom he knows is one of Shepard's former crew, is also looking for Shepard. He realises that he can manipulate Liara for his own goals and use her like a tool in order to recover Shepard. Therefore, he anonymously tips Liara off to visit Omega if she wants to find Shepard's body, and orders Feron to meet her so that he can set his plans in motion. Thus, the events of Redemption begin.
Sounds good, by brother!

The Normandy crash site is in a planet in the same cluster of Omega different system she probably started look there.

Tentative inquiries via the information network. That way, TIM also learns of Liara's desire to recover Shepard's body.

I have a feeling that after the alliance picked them up from the SR-1 crash site, she would be dropped off the citidal. Where she stayed until she recieves an annomys tip a week or so later.
