As far as "insulting to us fans" is concerned, it can't get much worse than ME 2.

Truth be told. Some evil part of me wouldn't mind Tali and Garrus cameo'd if only because then we could get some payback on those who claimed that the ME1 LI's were "running away" in ME2.

While I can understand your point of view, you still have to understand Garrus is pretty much the ONLY character of the ME2 cast who has no reason to leave Shepard even if not romanced. Also he is not in a position of power in any faction unlike Tali, another reason I think hes gonna stay abord.

On the other side, how much does it take to have a character around? Zaeed is 500MB and Kasumi almost 1GB though, but that includes their missions. That would make having a few of them around feasible, although the anyone can be dead complicates things, not to mention their status after the game (Tali, Miri & Jacob, Thane, at least) depecding on your actions. And they probably would be there just to fill space and firepower...but that also was in ME1. Liara was the only who really was needed to move the plot after leading the Citadel.

You have to remember that ME1 had a completly diffrent structure than ME2, the plot was the focus and the mystery it had. Which is why the ME1 squadmembers may seem "Irellevant" to some people. ME2 is all about the characters.

It´s the same, you could go the whole game with 1 fixed squadmate, and that because of Virmire (the thing I really missed in ME2, a no really win situation). Can ME2 be completed without recruiting all the no DLC squad?

You need to have atleast 8 squadmates before the suicide mission can be triggered.

Out of 10 (Legion and Grunt out I guess). I´ll try a few things in my next playthrough. I thought I could get IFF before all the 9 recruitings though.

Shepard: Liara, your keyboard is a holographic interface. It doesn't make a sound.

Liara: Ummm ... I have to pee. I'll be right back.

After two hours of waiting Shepard returns to the Normandy alone ... yet again.

The Salarians did not help teh Krogan , they split the atom and then nuked the hell out of their own planet. Salarians came after and tried to help, big mistake.
The Rachni Queen does talk abotu how the songs were soured in ME1, and if you saved the Queen im ME1, you get the rest of the story on Illium in ME2, and a promis that the Rachni will be there to help you in the coming conflict with "those who soured the song".

Has anyone wondered how the LI's from ME1 would know that you cheated on them if you chose to do so? There are montioring devices all over the Normandy that are obviously there by Cerberus, but we also have old squadmates that have returned who we know had contact with Liara after Sheps death (Garrus, who also didn't seem too surprised to see you alive again) but also new ones who have "done business" with Liara (Kasumi). If the ME LI was Ash or Kaiden the same would hold true, everything about what they are doing now is Alliance "classified" and they are obviously keeping an eye on you as well. Liara cannot join you are the Normandy because TIM is #1 a lying bastard #2 has beef with the SB himself #3 and is monitoring everything that is done on the ship. Liara wants to find the SB herself, in fact probably HAS to as she knows things about the situation that Shep is not even aware of. She cannot do that on a Cerberus vessel. I like to think that she is both protecting Shepard and being somewhat cautious with her own feelings, as she is not aware if the commander will even return from the Cerberus "suicide mission." Why would she open herself up to all of that again? Everyone is keeping tabs on Shepard...even Liara, IMO.



I think she will love that fact that Shepard shoots down everyone else's advances while waiting for her return!

I have wondered this, but I'm not sure how they will implement it in the game. The ME1 LIs probably won't find out Shepard's 'new gal/guy' (if there is one) until ME3. I doubt it will be from monitoring devices (they won't come across a sex tape on youtube with Shepard and the new LI or something like that), but I think they will just find out from ship scuttlebutt...Joker, for instance.
