Very true. It's still awful being left in limbo like this, though. Although we're extremely confident that the Liara DLC will happen, until BW confirm otherwise it's still a case of if and not when. I hate that, and I hope they confirm it soon. I don't care if it takes 6 months to develop, I just want it confirmed!

On a related note, I'm surprised BW let the publicity and hype surrounding the end of Redemption to pass them by, though. That was the perfect opportunity to announce the Liara DLC and exploit the attention that Liara was getting. It made sense from a marketing perspective. I know that it's likely that it would have been to soon to announce, but still...

There's not much more to gain from the Liara scene, I think.

But I'm still hoping that perhaps someone will find out how to play as Liara. Except for a Liara DLC or a real (good) add-on, that might be the only reason for me to reinstall ME 2.

Playing as Liara was obviously possible in ME1. I've seen the videos on YouTube, plus Erin has posted all of her lovely screenshots of LiaraShep. I wonder if it really is possible in ME2?

It just seems they announce these things mere weeks before they are released.  I'm sure this is better for business for some reason that I don't understand.    They don't want to announce things 6 months before release, or people will forget about it!  They will focus all there marketing $$ and attention grabbing scheming right before the thing hits the shelves.

Yeah. I suppose it would be worthwhile to speculate on when it would be the most profitable and financially viable for BW to release the DLC. Like you said J, we may not hear about it for months and months yet. If we speculate that, for example, August would be an ideal time to release the Liara DLC for x reason, then it would at least give us something to hope for.

You know what gets me a little excited, though? Overlord has been and gone. Right now, there is no new confirmed DLC on the horizon. They have to announce something again soon, and hopefully this will be the Liara DLC!

Wish that was possible, ratz! Shepard's cabin feels very empty and lonely without Liara there, doesn't it?

It would depend entirely on who you ask. Reasons range from being a female Shepard fanatic to just displaying a preference to female Shepard while they romance Liara as either Shepard.

While I (obviously) would like to see Liara in Shepard's cabin, I think what they did to Kelly was a disgrace. Instead of writing a proper conclusion for her (so far very nice) romance, they reduced her to little more than a piece of decoration. Before they do the same to Liara, better she's not in the game at all.

Yeah, pretty much.  The pink 'dancer outfit' was over the top and unnecessary.  The whole thing was, tbh.

Yup, and I knew that it would be you to bring this up, bjd. ;-) I know you have very strong feelings and opinions over the direction Kelly's romance takes.

I'd hate to see Liara's romance like that. I want it to be deep and have incredible substance.

I would care less if her writing would be as mediocre as the rest of the game. But in my opinion, it does stand out from all the averageness. But then they throw it all away, and disgrace their own character, something BioWare have really never done before.

It seems that the Kellymance was never meant to be taken too serioiusly...they have even referred to it as 'just an easter-egg'.

I think they disgraced some of their ME1 characters in ME2 *coughs* Liara *coughs*, but in a different sense.  Lack of effort and hacked-up scenes.
