Yeah, there are definitely many things that happen in ME2 that are left open at the end and never explained.
Liara Expansion time! Why else would you leave plot holes in the game if you weren't going to take advantage of them?
You can always fix a plot hole with a half-assed explanation if you do not care (such as the age old excuse, "It was magic"), but if you leave them there, you have to be planning to use them.
Pretty much the whole point of writers leaving the player with questions is so they can answer them (in this case, after the comic book series is released).
Especially in this situation it holds true, there is a whole amazing story worth of questions that need answering. They will be answered in the Liara Expansion.

I Love you Liara! :wub::wub:<3<3:wub::wub:
Liara's Beautiful Blueness can brighten up anyone's dark day.<3:wub:

The Collectors (actually Harbinger since the Collectors are puppets) wouldn't be very forgiving of the Shadow Broker screwing up the transfer of the body two years ago.  When you go to Purgatory to get Jack and are betrayed by the Warden, he says that Shepard is worth a king's ransom so that supports that at least someone out there has a huge bounty on Shepard.  The Shadow Broker would seem like the logical middleman for something like that, especially if he was trying to appease the Collectors for screwing up the transfer two years ago.

Yeah seems logical, but aside from the Warden betraying you, there is never an indication that the Shadow Broker really wants Shepard back to sell him/her,as for the Collectors the seem to have taken matters in their own hands now.
If the Shadow Broker really was after you they could have made some N7 mission were his agents try to lure you into a trap and capture you, just some indication that he is after Shepard, the SB has more then enough ressources and opportunities to do this.

Considering that the last issue of Redemption doesn't come out until a month from now, they've got plenty of time to come up with something.

But yeah, I needs me some asari luv.

So, no information on the Liara DLC yet? Drat!

Indigo, loved that Liara pic from a few pages back, great artwork! Justin, that new sig is also awesome, one of my favourite Liara quotes, and her eyes just look beautiful too! <3

I love you, Beautiful Blue Goddess! <3

Nope, no info coming from GDC.

Still no sign of Redemption #4 preview? Hopefully that will pop up soon.

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye out for the preview for Redemption #4. I think I first saw the preview for #3 on 12th February, so it can't be too much longer now.

I was thinking before, if and hopefully when Liara breaks down in the Liara DLC, wouldn't it be nice if she says her old phrase from ME1 to symbolise it, ie "Goddess!". After we've completed her DLC, and are travelling back to Illium, Shepard and Liara are in the Normandy, in Shepard's cabin. She's opening up to Shepard about the emotional pain that she's suffered in the two years she's been gone and, bursting into tears, she exclaims "Oh Goddess! What has happened to me? I've been such a fool! I was so afraid that you'd hate me, Shepard. I thought that if I hunted the Shadow Broker I could keep the pain at a nice safe distance, that you'd see me as being worth something again after I handed you to Cerberus. I'm so sorry, Shepard. I will never let you go again, ever." Shep and Liara then embrace each other warmly, tears trickling down Liara's cheeks. The camera then pans away, and fades out.

Would be so heartwarming, and we finally get the chance to comfort Liara after what she's been through. So sad that we can't do so at the moment. :/

Cool, might turn up in a couple of days then? I hope #4 explains why Liara is hell bent on saving Feron, killing the SB, and her relationship with Cerberus.

Yeah that would be a very emotional scene. Hopefully we'll get something like you describe Les.

Come on BioWare, throw us a bone here, I'd settle for any hint at their future plans for Liara now, even a tweet.

I know, even a simple "Missing a certain asari scientist? Fear not, you'll be seeing more of her!" would be enough to placate alot of us until Redemption #4 and the DLC is released.

Can't wait for more Liara!

If that popped up on twitter I think quite a few people around here would explode with glee.

I believe they must have had the overall Liara story planned since late last summer, I mean the comic was announced and previewed in October so a significant amount of effort must of been put into the story arc well before ME2 was released. Hopefully #4 will have some hint at DLC at the end.

Made a quick comparison shot of two situations with Liara in my ME2 game.
Clearly she is all blue in one area of her office, and in another position she is all greyed like. =/

Mabye its just my game then. I'll take some better screenies once i meet her in my next game.

No, it seems you're correct then. I never noticed anything else than the grey color. It is of course impossible for BioWare not to notice it too. So either it was intentional, or they just don't care. <_<

This <_< by the way is my favourite smiley here, it perfectly sums up my reaction to most in ME 2.

Could be due to a difference in the lighting in certain areas of her office.

In this image http://images4.wikia.../Liara_ME_2.jpg you can see a blue light source is illuminating the side of her head, making it look blue.

Yeah, I think you're right. If you look at the clothes on the left, they have a clear blue to them too, whereas on the right, they are normally colored. So it does seem that it's the lighting which makes her appear blue at some point, while her texture is indeed grey. Which is what I initially thought too.

Yeah, but we're talking about the game that could have made a love interest specific interaction with Liara and instead put a kiss on the front end of the interaction with lazy sociopath default ME2 Shepard.  So the absence of something in this game doesn't really mean as much when you're operating from that level of "design".
Regardless if the Shadow Broker is still putting a bounty out on you or not, Shepard is their usual apathetic moronic ME2 self at the end of the Purgatory mission.  Someone out there is offering a king's ransom for Shepard, and doing it such a way that the Warden of that prison heard about it and felt tempted enough to betray Cerberus to get it.  And Shepard never questions who it was.

Shepard never questions anything in the game and there are really many questions I wanted him to ask.

For example how Project Lazarus worked exactly, who paid Wilson to attempt to kill shepard and so on the list continues for quite a time, same goes for emotional reactions Shepard could have had.

Indeed. There they have this amazing tool with voices for the main character, yet they don't really make optimal use of it. You can't add countless choices in dialogue of course, but a little more chances to give Shepard a personality would easily have been possible. The only real chance for Shepard to get involved and ask several people a lot of questions is (how could it be different) the Tali quest. He shows more interest in this than in what's going on during his actual mission.

That could be due to the writer of that particular mission, one Mr Weekes I believe.

So what. Then let him write everything else too. But the main issue is the strange allocation of resources.

Yeah, Shepard really does come across as a ****** and a flat character in ME2 quite often. I think he did more soul searching (or at the very least commenting) on the trauma of the Prothean beacon in ME1 than wondering what effects dying and being brought back to life will have on him. Hes just a complete idiot who immediately takes the "mission" thrown at him and doesnt care or show any character about anything else.

Its a shame because Meers performance (bar one or two instances) was even better than the already great performance of ME1 imo. Sadly it doesnt help in the end, and I found Shepard a much more annoying character in ME2, and by far less "MY" Shepard.

Bottom line for me is Shepard felt like a 2 dimensional moron in ME2, and certain lines, like the ridiculously crap "dont be sorry Liara, my mission is important and Im a ******" are the main reason for this. Thankfully there are some good lines, but not enough to completely over shadow many of the crap ones.

Worst of all, it's all heavy weapons, even more catering to the shooter crowd and casual gamers. So far nothing has changed in their DLC policy. Maybe with the non-free DLC that has to come sooner or later, but I wouldn't bet on it.

My guess is, it's in the works and the guns and stuff are just to hold us over. They are just trying to keep the game in recent memory so you'll be watching for the real stuff.
