What? You must have gotten the wrong story. Ash sadly dies on Vimire (I still hate that choice) and i'm pretty sure  only Jack got fried by the occulus laser beam and Thane got impaled by a steel thingy.

Yup, she can only die if she is non loyal and only near the end. That's heavy duty plot armor. Only reason why she can still die is because the Miri haters would whine and b*tch.
