GDC ME2 news today correct?

They just released a DLC heavy weapon yesterday, but according to one site, their actual 1 hour press conference or whatever their segment is called is on Saturday. Their segment yesterday was talking about the sheer amount of voice acting and dialogue that was in the game. Saturday's show is on something entirely different. Not sure what.

i just wonder when BW will stop developing new 2years old kids toys [new weapons and armour] nad get on witch the real work? [Liara DLC]

My guess is, it's in the works and the guns and stuff are just to hold us over. They are just trying to keep the game in recent memory so you'll be watching for the real stuff.

just a little question: how is a weapon going to keep us busy as we've finished game already and have nowhere to use it? were is logic here? [replaying all game just to use new toy- i see no sense in that]
oh and what have i done? made myself sad.
need fresh Liara pic if one would be so kind...

I could definitely imagine some sort of cryptic message about Beautiful Blue Goddess DLC in the near future.
It would be a good idea on BioWare's part to announce something at GDC and get everybody excited for more news about an Expansion in the fourth comic book.

Lol, these guys never come out and tell you exactly what they are doing until the last second. Annoying, but as long as they tell us something, that is all that matters.

Hopefully it's something more substantial than Kasumi dlc.

I assume that will be the GDC announcement.  I doubt they will mention anything about the Liara expansion till the comic is done.

Well, for starters the weapon allows you to "aoe" things and I read it was very powerful. If you're looking for a way to deal with husk swarms on insanity it's a good start.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think we'll hear any news on that until the comic is finished and it's closer to release. When is E3 again?

I just used it last night in my 'Sentinel' run.  I took out Warden Kuril (full shields/armor) in 3 zaps on Insanity.  I might have been using it wrong so it's possible I could've took him down in 2 shots.

E3 is in June. There's also a Canadian GDC in May. Plenty of opportunities to announce stuff.

Wow... that thing really packs a punch

I downloaded it last night but I haven't used it yet. I just read up on it. Playing through insanity as an infiltrator really really sucked on some parts, mainly husk swarms. I'm definitely going to get some use out of it.

Sweet. I think we'll hear something at E3. That's the show that most of the game developers bring out the big guns.

Yeah, It seems all BioWare is doing is putting out weapon DLC/Kasumi/Hammerhead (I thought it was the DoA character for a second when I first heard, lol) and such to keep everyone busy until something big, if they don't keep putting something out, people may move onto another game.

I guess you can't really expect much from something that is free, usually it was something they  were already made or something that didn't take up to much time or resources to make.

I did read that a large part or the entirety of the ME dev team is actually moved over to DLC, I can't  imagine a choice like that would be made unless they are planning do put out something really big (Liara Expansion) and a couple of other big DLC pieces.
They have already said they are planning to release campaign expansions (Again, Liara Expansion) you definitely don't move your dev team over to DLC and make those promises unless you are actually going to follow through.

I have not tried it yet.  My Insanity run as an Infiltrator is definately challening, for the most part.  I am getting used to it though and doing better, but its a far cry from my Hardcore Vanguard run where I was blowing through levels like no ones business...

When I played my Infiltrator Insanity run, I kept cloaking and running from the husk swarm to put some distance b/w them and myself.    Then I sniped them for one shot kills either in the head or anywhere on their lower body.  If you shoot them in the butt they blow in half and are instantly killed.  It's awesome.

An article I read indicated that "most" (whatever that means) have probably moved on to ME 3.  Bioware in general is focusing on its two franchise sequels, ME 3 and DA 2, as well as the MMORPG and perhaps a few other projects.  Some of the ME 2 team is still working on DLC, but I can't imagine it is as massive an effort as there is behind the final part of the series.

The infiltrator on insanity is actually very doable, except for a few key parts. The class relies heavily on staying ranged, and in some parts of the game it just isn't possible to stay ranged. Some husk swarms and the suicide mission segment where you're trapped in the biotic bubble from the seeker swarms makes it impossible to stay out of harms way. It's very hard to get by those parts.

Yeah I usually just aoe incinerated their armor and sprayed them in the legs with the SMG. The one part that was super sticky was the suicide mission segment with the biotic bubble. You can't really run away and the scion is waiting in the back. That part, and one spot on the collector ship were the 2 areas I actually died. The rest of my insanity playthrough wasn't too difficult.

I remember in ME 1 as an Adept I would sometimes bring Liara. Two singularities (I believe she used that as well) reduced the room to floating, stunned, and weakened people. It would be good to have her back as a biotic force to be reckoned with, but part of my fear is that many squadmembers may just end up as "important NPCs". If Liara is one, that is if she becomes the Shadowbroker, that would be interesting, but it would leave the team lacking an important member...
