Pupil constriction is caused by opiates or anti-depressants...or horridly bright lighting.

Perhaps asari eyes are just more sensitive to light, so the pupils are noticeably constricted?

She's beautiful no matter what shade of blue she is. <3

True, true...though, I don't think she looks like any shade of blue in ME2.

Maybe. I do think that making her pupils more dilated was a conscious choice on part of the development team. They wanted to emphasise that she's tired, weary, stressed and unhappy.

Agreed, ryn! Her blue is a little more powdery in ME2, though.

I just can't wait to see what she looks like in DLC (or in ME3 if we have to wait that long).

I want the DLC so bad now! I can't take it1!!!11!!!

Neither can I, I'm desperate for more Liara content!

When she returns to the Normandy, she'll be her beautiful blue again. Her office lighting seems to screw with the asari skin tone. That sucks!

Totally!  And in a few shots, her color almost looks normal in ME2....

Yeah, when she is standing and not so close to that damn computer monitor, her face looks bluer.

That is not really Liara... that is Liara's evil twin... Liar-a.

Seeing as I don't want to read 1600 pages to see if someone said this already. If the devs make more Mass Effect games liara could still be in them even if shepard isn't because asari live for a 1000 years so even if they jump 500 years after the ME trilogy Liara will still be alive.

That is assuming she lives through ME3.... we don't know anything about the plot or if it is possible to have squad mates "virmired."

If she can get killed or there is a choice between squadmates, Im choosing her. The least they could do is have a cameo for her in the future.

A couple people, myself included, have brought this subject up. Liara indeed could be the "Spock" of the Mass Effect universe. I think it would be interesting to see Liara a few centuries down the road. There might even be grounds for her to get her own game. Or another dedicated comic series.

Perhaps this ongoing comic series that's currently in pre-production will be something like this. If it is, it would be a clear message that Liara will survive the upcoming events of Mass Effect 3. But we really know nothing.

Liara is the only squadmate who cannot die under any circumstances. We will have to see if this pattern holds up in ME3.

One thing to consider is the exclusion of the choice of wether she dies or not. I mean, it's possible that the reason why she cannot die in either previous game is that she being "saved" --to put it quite callously-- in order for her to be able to be killed or sacrifice herself in Mass Effect 3.

that is what I was thinking. It would suck if she died no matter what you did.

It wouldn't be an upbeat end, to be sure. But another thing to consider is that character death --while sad-- doesn't neccesarily have to be pointless. Take the last death on Lost, it was sad. But in the end, it felt like the right resolution for the overarching story of that character.

True, but I don't think the current writers are able to deliver something meaningful. I guess it would be just as pointless and random as the companion deaths in ME 2. I wouldn't mind if Liara could die in ME 3. As long as it depends on the actions of the player, I would probably never see it anyway. Needless to say, I wouldn't buy the game if it would be mandatory.

I think that in ME3 Shepard will have to chose wich planets will die IMO this will be the difficult choices in ME3 the deaths of squadmats was in ME2 the game was completely about that in ME3 we will not see squadmates deaths. And much less the death of  the virmire survivor or Liara.

Take a look, everyone. I came across a new piece of Liara fanart. It's entitled "Liara on Earth".

I hope that in ME3 we can go to earth with Liara to uncover some secret that will help fighting the reapers after all we see in ME1 that the protheans were wathching humans perhaps they have hide something on earth to help fight the reapers something that they hadn't the oportunity to use.

That is interesting!

I have a feeling that an asari living on earth would adopt the latest human female fashions.
