Liara for ME3

267 pages summed up in three words.

Anyway. I've now seen all the romances in ME 2, except Thane (no interest whatsoever in that one). Not impressed. I get the different characters, and the changes that are supposed to happen. But the execution is lacking. Would need more dialogue, especially after the love scene. Miranda is still the best romance in ME 2, but that's due to her more appealing character (yeah, and looks) than due to better writing.

As said before, it all feels geared towards the love scene as a prize for the (young?) players. I wouldn't have expected it before - and after ME 1 - but DA thoroughly beats ME 2 in the romance department. And ME 1 with its better atmosphere and connection to the main story beats that in my opinion, and not only with the Liara romance.

Liara did have singularity. I used her with an Adept as well. I brought Kaidan along for even more biotic fun.



I truly do hope she's a squad mate. I'm interested in what powers she would have in ME3 (assuming they keep the same system they had in ME2). I believe we speculated on this before and decided she'd have:



1) Warp

2) Throw?? (I can't remember this one exactly)

3) Passive power

4) For a loyalty power, some special form of singularity.

I imagine with the probable introduction of levels up to 60 in ME 3, there will be "high level" powers introducted.  I imagine Liara has become more powerful since her time in ME 1, so I would hope she'd have some new abilities should she join the squad.  It would be just like old times...

My guess is, it's in the works and the guns and stuff are just to hold us over. They are just trying to keep the game in recent memory so you'll be watching for the real stuff.

I think they massively overestimated the replayability of ME2.

Honestly I think the release of a new character, presumably with full dialogue and loyalty mission, isn't quite the same as releasing a new heavy weapon or set of armor.  While I couldn't care less about Kasumi at this point, its still a substantial release.  Even if it is female Zaeed (which admittedly would suck).

Considering the hidden dialogue of Kasumi has her calling you "Shep" she either is really brave, flirty, or real familiar with the Commander in some manner. I doubt she would be a full fledged romance though, as we have what, 9 of those already?! It will be hard enough for Bioware to do justice to the romances we currently have now in ME 3, adding one more just seems excessive...



Maybe she ends up hooking up with Kelly instead. That girl needs love bad...

I have no idea either.  If it is Thane related, that assumes all female players (or female Shepards) for that matter romanced the drell to begin with.  It seems it has to be romance related really, as there were very few times in ME 2 where a female shepard was ever even treated differently for her sex.  One was on Omega when the mercenary recruiter calls you a stripper, but other than that...

I can't imagine a "female oriented" quest or something like that.  Maybe we'll all be surprised..
