That's true...the commandos and disciples that did not follow Benezia when she joined up with Saren probably moved on with their lives, and found something new to do. The ones that were loyal to Benezia were all indoctrinated and probably killed.

I'm sure Liara holds enough political clout and power to acquire her own commandos, though.

I don't think all of Benezia's Commandos joined her, though.  Shiala had mentioned that she had given them each a choice on wheter to join up with her to attmept to stop Saren or not.  I assume some did not go with her.

They may follow Liara out of respect for Lady Benezia, though.  It would be more likely that they would follow Liara than some random Commandos that Liara (or Benezia) have never met.

That's also true. Do you think the commandos that did not follow Benezia in trying to guide Saren down a gentler path would not have moved on with their lives, and followed the daughter of their mentor when the opportunity arose?

I think it more likely for Liara to gain their trust and loyalty than some other random Commando that had not studied under her mother.  It's possible not all joined Liara, but some did.  Perhaps they also suggested other Commandos to follow her?

I'm just amazed a non-Matriarch asari could even have obtained a small band of Commandos.

Some could have followed Liara but I think that after ME1 Liara would not gain respect for being Benezia daughter IMO is more the oposite after all Benezia is see by almost everyone as a traitor and I think that even her old followers now think that she is realy a traitor.

Liara's no ordinary non-Matriarch, Maiden asari, though! She's the daughter of one of the most powerful Matriarchs in the galaxy, and she helped prevent the extinction of all sapient life in the galaxy. Considering that, I'd say she commands quite a significant amount of respect and power.

I agree that some of Benezia's former commandos would have joined Liara as well. They probably respect the fact that Liara attempted to redeem and talk their former mentor round.

Some commandos work as mecenaries like the one in Miranda loyalty misson and I think that capitain Wesea is also a commando so the commandos that Liara have under her orders might be mercenaries Liara mention some hired muscle.

But to look on a positive side: She would still atleast have one (the one where she lived in the most?). And after defeating the reapers, having Shepard go back with Liara to live in a grand estate and spend some quality time together doesn't sound so bad.

I did actually think that. Liara may have been forced to sell some of Benezia's assets in order to fund and start up her information network. She must have done so with an extremely heavy heart. I can't imagine she would have particularly enjoyed selling her mother's possessions.

While the Liara-Benezia confrontation should have more dialog. It could still be good if Benezia's VA did a better job.

That's the point i'm trying to get across.

Gave it all away to the less fortunate....she's the one that started the scholarship fund for my Earthborn Shepard, I just know it!!!

I think that Benezia VA works for the most of her character that is suposed to be someone cold and without emotion but it not so good when it comes to show Benezia suffering and fight against the indoctrination.

It's not really the voice actresses fault in this case....it is well know that the Noveria scene was hacked up and changed a lot...some of it comes off sounding awkward for that reason.

I was unaware of this. In what respect was the Noveria scene hacked up and changed? I'm curious.
