Back to somethin more serious... how was this thread's reaction to javier's unofficial-maybe-announcement of an ME2 expansion? I missed it. Someone here believing that we will get the Liara content that we long for for so long?

Yeah, I saw that ....I don't put much stake into that, though.

I think that if there is an expansion, it will most likely deal with Liara and the SB.  I think javier was just speculating, though, and he doesn't have knowledge about this yet.

Yes, I doubt that the mods know what the dev teams are doing. Therefore I also wasn't excited at all.
I am optimistic that an Expansion will come and that it will be about Liara, however I just don't trust such inofficial "speculations" (as you said it). (And although I surely have said it here before) I think that such an expansion will come out as teaser for ME3, so there is still a lot of time. Sadly!

I'm  normally not a fan of such off topicness but I'm nevertheless going to ask you what has happended in this thread in the last (2?) weeks. Something special?

Nothing really happened...we talked about a bunch of Liara related stuff...there was picture posting...squeeing...the usual.

I remember we were talking about Benezia for a bit earlier today, and how she would feel about Liara in ME2. Earlier today, we discussed what ME1 or ME2 squad mates would compliment Liara the best in combat. Stuff like that.

Nothing recent has come up about DLC...we haven't heard anything about new DLC since Overlord released.

Sounds good! When I find 2 hours or so I think I'll read through some pages here. I think I won't necro some 4-days old posts (who knows^^) but it will be interesting to read through some discussions!
In the recent time, every time I looked here there was talking about Liara's ME1-->ME2 change, and I just don't want to delve into such discussion because it makes me sad, to be honest. But because of that I missed some lighthearted discussions as I see! I will have to come here on a more reguar basis again!

In the Redemption comic, the Shadow Broker says that Liara is with the Alliance (Issue #4). I find it weird that she would "officially" be alliance. Maybe just because she worked with Shepard on a technically alliance ship?

Ah, the Liara-thread. I had actually deleted one of my sheps due to having the "wrong" story in ME1 and started it from scratch, but I did'nt know if it was going to be worth to do it all again. One quick look in here and I definitely know it's going to be worth it!

I've wondered the same. 

It was probably just a boo boo by the writers, though perhaps like you said, Liara was technically considered to be a temporary member of the Alliance, due to her allying herself with Shepard in order to defeat Saren and the geth.

It's probably just a boo boo...the comic is a bit of a mess.

Edit:  Oh, and that is a very very awesome picture, ryn.

I've just played ME1 again too. I basically only play one Shepard anymore and just keep repeating her story (making the same major decisions) over and over and over and over.



I just can't get into another Shepard. I love my Shepard and her story, and I choose to repeat it, just like how you would keep re-reading your favorite novel.

This morning I was thinking about what squadmates can do if Shepard stood around idle long enough, similar to how Joker starts making random comments if you hover behind him in ME2. So can you imagine Liara making some random comments, perhaps mentioning how people think her archeological work is boring but it's nothing compared to waiting on ships to reach their destinations? Or see her get up and move about the room? The occasional biotic flareup with Liara commenting she's working on perfecting her barrier?

I would like that...that would be cute.

It would be cool if they implement that for squad mates.  It would kind of be similar to how the squad mates used to provide random comments about the current location/mission in ME1, though you did have to select them first.

I just wonder if Liara is prone to talking to herself like Joker is...I kind of think she is, as she has spent so much time alone on digs.
