I never understood this notion, but to each their own. I do hope there are different endings depending on the player's choices. But if there aren't, then the single ending has to be a happy one. And actually I think BioWare would deliver that, the bigger question after ME 2 is if they are still able to write it as well and epic as the series deserves.

A happy ending will still ****** people off. You need more then two endings.

So if Aria is in fact Liara other parent assuming that they both find about this during the events of ME3 and they are both squadmates how do you think that Aria and Liara initial reaction would be and how their relation would evolve?And as Liara bondmate what would be Shepard place in all this?

I'm with kraidy on liking tragic endings (most of the time^^) and I really like the sacrifice idea. However, it can't be forced. There have to be more options to defeat the reapers and more than one ending.

Also, I could see Shepard staying with Liara even if it means that they both die. Again, though, there'd have to be more options :-)

Thinking about endings. I also like tragic ones. (He, i really liked the ultimate sacrifice ending in DAO ^^)
What i'd like to see as possibilities would be:

-Shepard sacrificing him/herself
-Shep & Liara together until the end
-Liara dies to save Shep (an intersting concept, although i personally wouldn't want to get that ^^)
-ok, and maybe the standart Happy Ending thing.Maybe.

Of course there could/should be more possibilities. But those are the ones i'd like to see. ^^

Personally I also wouldn't mind the ending where Shepard becomes some sort of Galaxy-Emperor - with Liara at his side, obviously. Of course it may not be plausible, though, if we take the story so far into account. I could see a human/Cerberus dominance ending, though and wait a second....if that happens and maybe if Shepard takes over Cerberus during ME3 because TIM (surprisingly^^) betrayed him...well there you go - ruler of the galaxy ........ lots of ifs, but >XD

I also wonder if there will be an ending where the Reapers win.

A reaper-win ending. Doubtful. Would be a bit too disappoing for most players. (Personally i wouldn't mind. Hey, i also liked the ending of Divinity 2 - Ego draconis ^^)

Galaxy domination. Is a bit too far fetched, imo. I mean Shep is still the "good" guy. Besides hit paragon/renegade attributes.

I doubt Liara would like that anyways - even if we encourage her "renegade" side. ^^
