Call me crazy guys but i think i found Liara's Asari father... and she is very close to her current work place.

During talk whit Eternity bartender she told me something what makes me little confused.
Thing is that she tells me that she have pure blood child and she was the father but she and her bond mate split up (sounds too suspiciously familiar not to mention that usual if Asari chose to form a bond then such last for many years) but she didn't tell me why they broke.

Perhaps she couldn't bear anymore all negative comments related to Asari/Asari relationship so for the sake of the child she left leaving Liara under protection of more powerful and respected mother (good luck if you ****** off Benezia).
Its possible that she and Benezia decide that she will stay in shadow no matter what will happened and Liara would never learn true identity of her "father".

And if you compare her and Liara's face there are pretty similar especially now when Liara's face have much lighter blue color.
I wish i could take screenshots and made compare picture but on the other hand this whole theory might be absolutely unrelated wild guess chase....

I agree.  I have no interest in romancing him, but he's cool and is a good friend to my FemShep.  Samara as well.

It's a good thing my Shepard has a few friends from the new crew or she'd be a wreck.

Yeah, I'd never romance anyone on the Normandy (unless Liara was there) Thane seemed pretty cool, unfortunately, he stopped talking to me after three conversations.

The relationships in ME2 are pretty much Drinking Buddy number one (Garrus) Drinking Buddy number two (Jacob) and Semi-Drinking Buddy (don't know if he drinks) who has more to deal with in his life number three (Thane).
Well, that is because I don't romance them. There is probably more to the romances, but I have no interest in them. I only romance Liara.

I thought Samara was a great character (I thought her voice work was nicely done).

I wish you could at least talk about Liara with one of you squadmates (or Kelly the super freak, cue Rick James).
At least it would show that the Liara reunion had a great emotional impact on Shepard.

I believe most assume it is Thane related because:

1. We think it must have something to do with a romance, one of the few unique experiences a female Shepard can have
2. Thane is the only LI that has an unresolved issue. Jacob dealt with his father, Garrus is just Garrus, and only Thane has a disease that is killing him...

This seems like an extremely large logical jump, though.

It could be something that effects both male and female Shepards then, just something that "females will really like".  I can't imagine what that might be, but logically if you break it down there are only a few options available based on what is in the game RIGHT now.

I wouldn't think it would be Liara related UNLESS we assume Liara is really partial towards Female Shepards over males, but I don't think that has ever been proven.  Hell, a male Shepard who broke her heart in ME 1 still finds the Asari madly in, if not love, some sort of passsionate loyatly with him.

Yeah, I suppose.  Still seems like a big stretch, though.

Did anyone here actually get the achievement?
(I did but I had to do another ME1 playthrough with no romance, couldnt bring myself to cheat on Liara.)

I did get the achievement, but not legitimitely.  I was messing around trying to do all the female romances with a female Shepard using the saved game editor.  I used some crap save that came with the editor and romanced all three ladies on it.  You can romance one, dump them, romance another.  Rinse and repeat.

On all my legit playthoughs, I've only imported the same FemShep from ME1 who romanced Liara (three times now).  I keep changing her class to mix it up.  I always stay loyal to Liara, of course ;)

Me too!  As much as I would have liked to talk directly to Liara, I would also like to be able to talk about her.  It would have been cool if you could have reminisced about your ME1 LI with one of the other characters who knew her.

Another thing that would have been great would be to turn down ME2 LIs by saying your heart belongs to Liara/Ash/Kaiden.  How cool (and easy) would that have been?!!!

Why do people think it has anything to do with Thane, anyway.  Curing him wouldn't make *my* femshep happy.  I mean, she would be happy for Thane, I suppose.  But curing him doesn't make a difference to her from her own personal standpoint.  She's waiting for Liara.

And no, I don't have the paramour achievement either.

Did anyone here actually get the achievement?

I'd only consider worrying about that if Shiala is an LI in ME3. They're my fave 2 ladies.

I like Shiala and think she's super hot, but I just can't ever see romancing her.  I just like Liara a lot more than her for some reason.

The only other ME female character I'd be interested in romancing (on a different save so not to cheat :D) would be Jack.  Unfortunately, she's not available for FemShep so I'm S.O.L.

IMO, you should at least be able to talk to Samara about Liara (if you've romanced Liara);  get some advice on dating asari from an older asari.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, Liara is my #1 too, but if Shiala was available, I'd make a different Shep just to check it out (so I wouldn't cheat on Liara). I've always liked Shiala. I hope there's a way to cure her green.

I doubt Shiala will have a significant role if any at all in ME3,the fact that you could kill her in ME1 makes that pretty save to say.

But I found her interesting,to me she seemed like she is starting to enter her Matron stage in ME2,if you look at it it could make sense, she put her asari commando day behind her and basicly settled down on Feros.

At least thats how I explained the flirting with Shepard in ME2,since when you look at it Shepards grade A melding material I guess.

My Shep will finally be able to pick the "Can't I have both?" option when it comes up. :D

Yeah, I doubt she will either. That's why I'm not doing anything about it now. If I hear anything about it, I'll work on it then. There's plenty of time. ME3 is a loooooong ways away.

That would make sense, Samara should know a lot about that. It would have added to the feeling that the romance is still there. (Of course we know it is still there, but Shepard doesn't seem to want to say "I love you Liara").
You know, just because Shepard is a Special Forces soldier, doesn't mean she can't have feelings.

I would actually like to see more emotions from Shep, going through all those events would make anyone break down.
Especially after the Liara reunion, that would affect anyone who has the capability of emotions.

Considering Liara seemed ok with that in ME1, perhaps Asari aren't very shy about this sort of thing.

It would have definitely made it clear how much Shep still loves Liara.
It is weird you can't at least talk to Garrus or Tali about how much the reunion affects you and how much you love her, but you want to keep her safe, they actually know who Liara is (or Kaidan/Ashley).

Yes, I would have loved to tell all the other ME2 LIs how I love Liara more than anything.
(I would hope it would stop FemShep from trying to flirt with Jacob every five seconds, lol).

I still have no interest in any of the ME2 crew as romances. Too bad there isnt a friend only option to pick to get everyone's backstory w/o romancing them. At this point I dont know if Ill even get a single shep playthrough ported over.

Side note: She's doing a stellar job as Lighting in FF13. Bioware, let her go nuts in the expansion.

As Fem Shep you are incapable of having a conversation with Jacob without flirting. Even if you are just being nice and curious, the Female Shepard adds innuendo and uses a sexy voice. Its nuts.

I think it's more that Liara's affection for Shephard eclipses her self-esteem, and that she's never been in a real relationship before.  She displays some serious victim tendencies in ME1 and falls in love with you even if you treat her like crap.  Not to mention the whole body stealing thing after you treated her like crap; that's on a whole other level.

I'll be interested to see what the different character's reactions are to cheating in ME3.  Does Liara even see Garrus as competing for Shep's affection on the same plane that she is?  Will she become violently ill at the thought of sex with Jacob?

I am somewhat looking forward to the romance interactions in ME 3.  How will Liara react to Tali, in particular?  Old, geeky friends becoming embittered towards one another?  Maybe Liara will be thankful to Tali, for taking "care" of Shepard when she couldn't...but now she wants to move back in!?  Drama!!!

Yeah, I always say to myself "WTF! What about Liara? She is your love!!".
Even if you are mean to him, FemShep still sounds as though she wants to say, "You and me, on the counter, right now".
I always play as a Paragon and having my character flirt with him all the time annoys the hell out of me. I try and shut him down before I get too far talking to him.
Even after you shut him down she still flirts with him for god's sake!
Yeah.. I have no interest in any of the ME2 romances. I didn't ever do Kaidan's romance in ME1 either.

Samara may not know much about romance considering she has been alone for quite some time. Hell, deep down she probably wants Shepard for herself anyway!

[flying pen attacking an allied asari is there just for looking good, as i really wanted him to fly something at her using biotic and not hurt her, to make LIARA FOREVER scream more spectacular ]:D
any pen substitute proposals??:bandit: [of course non-lethal ones]:P

You can attempt to pursue Samara as a romance option, but she declines saying "maybe in another life".
