Hi guys *is exhausted* Could I interest you in a short, two paragraph excerpt to celebrate that I've managed to write over a thousand words for the first time in weeks. In the "water is wet" department, turns out I'm a lot happier when I write what I want.

Cool.

"People change." She almost told Liara only became an information broker so that she could hunt down and kill the Shadow Broker, but thought better of it. That wasn't her story to tell. Let Liara tell her boyfriend all about her quixotic quest to bring down the most powerful entity in the galaxy. It was nothing to Miranda. Except that you encouraged her down the path, whispered a traitorous voice in her head. You agreed with her when she thought that the Shadow Broker might be indoctrinated. You're the one who admitted that Cerberus didn't have the resources to rescue Feron. You're the one who told her to find something else to do while she waited on you to bring her boyfriend back from the dead. What did you think was going to happen? Of course the little idealist would run out to slay the dragon. Risking their lives was what people like her do. You had a hand in this.

No. Liara was a grown woman. She had decided to kill the Shadow Broker on her own, just as she had decided to become an archeologist on her own. Miranda hadn't told her to do it. She would have called Liara an idiot if she'd mentioned her plans out loud. She could only hope Liara didn't get herself killed. The girl was too brilliant and driven to throw her life away. The girl had run all over Omega looking for her boyfriend's body long before she'd known the exact goal of the Lazarus Project. She'd nearly been raped and killed over a corpse. Such loyalty should not—could not—be squandered on a petty quest for vengeance and the stupid hope that a lying backstabbing drell had survived.

I'm rethinking the inclusion of a sex scene so you may get a link after all.

Looks pretty good so far. Seems to be in character to what Miranda would think. As for the link, you could always make two versions. One with a scene, and one with the "they slept that night. Next chapter". Then post the censor version here, which has a link to the none censor version. Either way, just write what makes you the most happy.

Let´s wait and see. The main character change is already a big dissapointment, and the comments about combat are worrying, but we know very little and BW ad campaigns are usually misleading. If they go this way I hope we the fans will give them hell so they go back for DA3. This was a game for RPG players, not shooter players or Diablo players. There is nothing so broken to need major fixes, but neither was in ME1 and the idea of fix for 2 was "away with it".

Sure, "wait and see" is the right approach. But to me it seems obvious enough what happens to DA. See how active the developers are on the DA 2 forum, telling everyone not to worry, it'll be alright. Sounds familiar? I think so too. After the game's been released, and some people "give them hell" (while others insult everyone who dares to criticize the game), they'll just go silent as always.

At least ME 2 told me not to pre-order any BioWare game again, so it was good for something.

Wow........over 6 hours without any activity...

Did the DA2 announcement somehow kill all Liara fans?

At any rate - I have some artwork that'll soon be finished...

Some of us who liked DA at least. It´s like they sent Frodo back to the Shire after getting to Rivendel from my POV, or ESB with different cast.

What would you like for combat, TMA? Managing groups doesn´t mesh well with direct combat as Witcher or Gothic, and the Diablo system is just pressing buttons not stop, run, recharge power,... (no, I don´t like it). By the way, PC or XBOX?

Back on topic. Just read the Redemption trade. Don´t have so much problems as how Liara was written besides a couple of moments as to how she was drawn. Both body language and facial expressions are too agressive, seems something from the 90s Dork Age. Many situations would have worked if she didn´t seem to overact that much. There is a difference between being in a bad emotional shape and about to go psyco.

The game team could learn from the artist´s armor desgins, though.

I'm playing the 360 version, which already FUBAR's group management. You can't even control people's positions besides "stop and go". Also, I don't like having so many abilities, when so many of them could have been merged. Plus, Character Tactics I was too afraid to mess with.

I just don't like DA's combat. I'm more of playing it for the story. Heck, I'm even playing it on casual, just to get threw it faster. As for what I want, maybe something like Kingdom Hearts when it comes to combat/RPG.

Some new art from an artist who does a lot of Mass Effect fanart.  Scroll down to #14 and #15.  This is the artist who drew the picture of toddler Liara with Benezia.

Heya!

Thread is slightly dead. Presumebly due to the fact that it's summer and the weather is fine! So not much Liara discussion going on.

The picture's finished.......as it's NSFW, I can't even link to it.

But I can of course give you a general steer in the right direction.

A friend also has XBOX and has no problems so far, but mouse is the way to play this. Don´t know KH, is it FF like combat?
Just take my point of view. Everything is going simpler and no effort due to console players because producers think you like it like that (seen interviews), this is starting to feel like action movies blockbusters, that depend more on marketing and see and forget than making something worth watching. In ME2 they took away things people complained about, with DA is things people liked. Who is taking decisions, BW or EA?

It's very well drawn as always, but once again if I didn't know better, I'd think it's a male Shepard. No disrespect, of course.

KH wise, it's not turn base like FF, and more action/rpg (Crisis Core is another example). You can jump, dodge, block, and do combos, yet still summon, use magic, use potions, control your squad, special abilities, equipment, etc.

As for problems, I'm not having problems per say, it's just find combat boring, and hate the auto save. You'd sometimes be kicking ass, then run into a moment where they're kicking your ass, and you're out of potions, Wynne's dead, and the game didn't auto save for 2 hours. And on 360, it's hard to control your party, without taking control over them.

Also, you're talking to a non PC player, who doesn't play mmorpg's. The only PC games I played are Star Craft, Half Life Series, Quake 2, and Counter Strike. That's it. I play the JRPG's, but not much Western RPG's.

Then think how you would feel if a JRPG went suddenly to DA system. Anyway, too soon to know, hope this is pointless worrying, but can´t help thinking they made this announcement know to give time to the backlash to fade.

No quicksave in XBOX?

What, can't you save the game on consoles whenever you want? I usually press F5 every few seconds.

A game like DA belongs on PCs. I guess that's why they're going to change it a lot now, so that it's better compatible with consoles.

You can save anytime, but it's not like I can just press a button. I have to pause, go to "save game", and pick a save to save over, because I can't delete saves for some reason.

As for changes, J RPG's change all the time. Same with the combat. Compare FF13 to FF6, and they're very different, for better or for worse. I hate game series that don't change or evolve.

Assuming anyone is still here, I need help with an incredibly petty matter. What were the exact directions that the concierge gave you to reach Liara's office? I. want to reuse them in the story.
