If you believe certain talk, Liaras role seems to have gone through quite a few permutations in ME2. Ultimately, its too late for her ME2 role now, along with Ashley/Kaidan as well. Thats done and dusted now. All thats left is to wait and see what comes, and see just how it proposes to make good on having to sit through that sorry excuse for a role in ME2. Or not, perhaps.

Ive said it before, but despite always anticipating a bad role in ME2 and getting just that, if it can actually be worth it in ME3 and mean that yes, because she is - along with the Virmire Survivor - (who is default set to Shepards opposite gender without import I believe) now the ONLY squadmates who are guaranteed to be alive, that will most certainly count come ME3.

The question is, what will that count for in ME3? Slightly more flashy, high profile cameos than other squadmates? Or will they actually get a second game where they are actually important squadmates?

Aye. Even with a 100% survival rate, Liara's role in ME3 is still completly up in the air and anything can happen. For all we know her "important role" will net her a Wrex-cameo or Anderson-role (ME1 of course). And if every squadmate will return. Can we even count on Liara having alot of dialog (not to be selfish)? Will she just end up calibrating constantly with the rest of the crew?

With ME2 and Casey Hudson's constant lying and twisting of the truth, have broken my faith in ME3 being win no matter what.

I agree that Liara role in ME3 is still something that we don't know how it will be, but I think that being ME3 the final part of the story Liara will not only be a squadmate but also an important squadmate with importance to the plot like she was in ME1 and the romance it will also be good in order to make the ME2 troubled relationship mean something by using this troubled part of the romance as a way to make Liara and Shepard relationship even stronger.

This.
I mean, she's one of two characters that survives all the way to ME3. That has a lot of weight. Or at least it should. And they've got some personal ties to Shepard. I'd be shocked if Liara and the Virmire survivor were sidelined.

Plot armor rating:

Heavy: iara: Can't die at all

Meduim: Ash/Kaidan: One will be alive, but will they be unueqe.

Light: Miri: Once she is loyal, she is immortal and you need to work hard to kill her plus out of all the characters she has a stromng connection to Cerberus and TIm and has the most loose ends.

All other squadmates expect for Garrus and Tali had 4 or over dialog. I was the same for ME where every character had four or over with Ash having the most. Plus you had there personal missions that gave alot of detail on the characters. So really only Garrus and Tali had 2 conversations(three with romance) and that's because they where brought back for fan service.

While there were same amount of dialog with the new squadmates. Tali and Garrus, as you kindly pointed out. Only have 2 conversations really. And with ME3 having the possible 15 (16 with Wrex, but he's out of the picture) squadmates, won't there still be a chance dialog will suffer as a result?

Never completed the quest with Tali (You get her later in the game). But I was suprised when Garrus didn't have anything to say to that annoying c-sec officer and Volus.

Also forgot Garrus "Places that are great ti fight in" little talk.

Epic moment.

I would prefer a expansion pack that include Liara and the virmire survivor, like this the virmire survivor and Liara would see their ME2 story resolved and they will be prepared to join Shepard in ME3. And the fact that is an expansion would make it possible to have much more romantic content between Liara and Shepard.

I can see a Liara one, but anything with a Virmire Survivor is a longshot. Doubt anything will happen with them until ME3.

BioWare dug themselves a hole with the whole Virmire survivor thing. I mean, writing dialogue for two characters that may appear or not appear depending on one's savegame... I really hope they don't skimp on that.

As for Liara, I would love to see a DLC! Too bad it's been rumored for months with no real confirmation.

I liked Liara in ME1, but in ME2, her character disgusted me. She was dark, bland, and just...uhg. I wouldn't mind if I never saw her again. Only on of my Sheps were ever with her, and he cheated on her after meeting her.
