Anyways, I tried the option where you pick the wrong person as the Observer. Seems Liara still refers to you as a friend. Guess it still is up in the air till Shep or Liara finally talk about it.

Actually, if you look close, her eyes aren't white. It's just the pupils have a highlight on them. She's actually looking at you if you look at the large version.

Hey all, just swinging by after reading some DA2 news.  Anyway heres something for ya.

I'm actually rather hoping they DON'T do a Liara expansion.  I mean just look at how much damage they did to the character with a 3 minute cameo in ME2.  Can you imagine what Mac would do with 15+ hours focused entirely on Liara?  At least as an afterthought there was enough left unsaid and undone that we could use our imaginations to correct or rationalize all the wrong that was done.  That won't be the case with a focused expansion.

The best I'm willing to hope for at this point is that BW sees Liara's story as finished, and we never see or hear from her again.  At least that would leave the last bits of integrity of her ME1 character in place.

I don't think a expansion pack would ruin Liara. Mainly because the reason the Liara cameo sucks in ME2 is because they tried to do to much with too little. You don't make such a character change with only 5-10 minutes screentime.

Having a 15 hour expansion pack which focus on the ME1 LI's would allow us to give them the screentime they deserve and most importantly, fix them.

I just don't want an expansion, because it'd have to be designed around not ever happening. Nothing can have a real impacted, because you didn't download it. And this is the shadow broker we're talking about. Do you really want his character to just be skipped in ME3?

Oh the issue of hoping that there's no Liara DLC/Expansion because of the possibility of it not happening, there's a way around that. If it progresses the logical way, then it would happen regardless, and be given a default resolution for new players and players who did not play it.



I suppose the closest compairison would be to play Mass Effect 1, but then for some reason skip right to ME3. The things in ME2 would still happen, and the player could purchase it and play it if they wanted the complete experience, but the events of Mass Effect 2 wouldn't just not happen because you didn't buy it.



And I suspect this comment will be fodder for ME2 haters. Sigh...

I don't see how your comment will be fodder to ME2 haters. The ME1 LI's could definetly use a expansion pack or DLC dedicated to bring them in a positive light.
