I'm guessing it's a cutscene.

Probably not. Not enough buttons on the D-pad for that.

Think the code wouldn't allow for four squadmates. This is also why you need two squadmates to survive after the suicide mission, because any missions you saved after the suicide mission will require a party of three. So probably cutscenes.



Would be interesting if Liara was a squadmate choice during the DLC, though. Wonder what her powers would be in the ME2 world. But then there will need to be an excuse as to why she can only join you for the DLC missions and not any others.



Oh I hope her reasons aren't the ones I heard in the cut dialogue. :/

Well, Christian did say in her Twitter that they were going to add a new element in a DLC that changes the gameplay. This might be it. A test for 3 squad members, and how people react to that.

I think BioWare would have a riot on their hands if it was.

Although, I guess if they did, so long as they didn't make it lame, I could live with it. But I personally hope they don't do that.

It's my opinion it's one of the best designed mission levels of the game, up there with Haestrom. My opinion, of course.

Good to finally get the announcement out of the way, considering how long its been on the cards.



Now we just wait and see just what kind of DLC we are going to be getting, and hopefully after playing, there is going to be lots of positive discussion about a squadmate role for Liara still being on the cards in ME3.

But jeez, I go deal with my own stuff for a month, I come back, and all the familiar faces are replaced with totally different people...
