Can't wait to hear what Joker has to say about Liara if she comes aboard.  Then again, if the past DLCs are any indication it will likely be nothing.

It's labeled a DLC on the official website. Either the website is wrong or Priestly is interchanging the words.

They used the term "expansion" for Overlord too and it was just a glorified N7 mission.  Got to love the english language. Ever changing, especially when a buck is to be made.  Anyway, Yaaaa! Liara DLC!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I don't expect Joker to say anything either, but it would be sweet.  Would be nice to hear what Kelly has to say, too. But, not holding my breath.

After.  It says that the only reason this is happening now is because Shepard has saved the galaxy a second time, and he quite literally has nothing to do until the events of ME3

Yeah, weve got to wait for more official word from Bioware.



All we know so far is:



The Liara DLC is finally here.



It, according to Biowares ME2 twitter page, involves finishing off the SB once and for all.



And finally there are three screenshots on it.



Thats about it really, anything else at this time looks to be speculation, some of it perhaps based on poor wording or misinterpretation.#



Hopefully it wont be long until we get some facts on the DLC.

That's not much to go on, if you ask me. It's simply the writer's way of writing.

Regardless, it'd be more logical if played after the suicide mission.

They did say they were planning on starting the focus on post end-mission DLC not too long ago, so with any luck, this is the start of it.

And with any more luck, it will be a substantial DLC, dare I say "full expansion".

Regardless, it'd be more logical if played after the suicide mission.

I think it will be the first post-suicide DLC. It makes sence we would go after the SB after we got rid of the Collectors.

Yeah, well bear in mind thats not my main outlook. Its great that its been finally confirmed/announced, but there is nothing else to go on other than that. Well see what comes in the near future. And of course, what the end of the DLC itself suggests.

As I mentioned in the other thread (for the DLC), I think it will be really difficult for them to come up with an excuse to keep her off the Normandy after this DLC. I felt the interaction with her in ME2 itself was handled quite poorly - it's a good idea executed terribly. Her staying as Shepard heads off on a suicide mission didn't make sense, and forbidding the player from talking about it was supremely lame.



That said, what possible excuse could there be this time? "I have to read this data" like the cut sound files imply? That's absurdly weak and doesn't do the rest of the game's writing justice at all. Given her character, and what she did, she should WANT to rejoin Shepard as soon as possible (especially as the love interest).

I'm hoping that's why they cut it in the first place, so that they could polish it up. I hope what people are saying is right, and that it is in fact a post-suicide-mission DLC, but I don't want to jump on that bandwagon just yet.

The only information I have for why Liara wouldn't join Shepard is the cut dialogue where she mentions going through the Shadow Broker's information. Very weak excuse if Shepard was still going after the Collectors, but if this is a post-suicide mission DLC, I can certainly see Liara wanting to comb through all of the Shadow Broker's information in search for anything he might have had on the Reapers.
