To quote myself upon discovery of the DLC: "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!"

Now for hopes, praying, and crossed fingers:

I hope it's post-suicide mission. That would make the most sense anyways, especially since they said they're going to start concentrating on the gap between ME2 and ME3.

I pray that they properly address the romance and include some squad dialogue/snippets from other team members or from Liara about other team members.

Fingers crossed that she doesn't just follow you around (nooes! escort missions! *stabs own eyes*); but if she does, it's better than not having her with you at all.

Is it just me or have they really cranked up the SB's "evil level" in ME2? In ME1 he was presented by NPCs like Barla Von to indeed be very powerful, but his selling of secrets "always balanced out" to paraphrase ME1 dialogue.

Also, yeah I wonder if we will discover what has become of Feron. You think he's still alive and BioWare hired some voice talent to give him some dialog, or did they just kill him off because it would be cheaper on the budget?

-edit- OH right!  It would be terribly uncouth of me to forget Ash and Kaidan!  Although Liara is my canon Shep's love interest I really do hope that Ash and Kaidan get the same justified treatment with their own DLC as well.

Hopefully the screen with Tali and Garrus is the start of the mission, then Liara joins your squad + another. It does look like Liara's office to me.

After that you bring Liara onto the Normandy and track down the Shadow Broker through many missions to many different worlds. With new Lialogue after each mission. :-)

That's the spirit. It's nice to see you smile about something else besides fantasizing about bombing Bioware Edmonton.

I am excited but deeply cynical.  Looking forward to it but dreading it.

These are feelings... I can't... explain!

I like her outfit... it seems to fit the class she was in the first game: Asari Scientist.

I hate to say this, but...

Almost all of you will be disappointed by this DLC.

Now most people who post regularly on this thread regularly use Liara as an LI, right? So, you're expecting there's going to be some little love scene between Shepard and Liara. But the truth is there probably won't be. Because of all the numerous outcomes for romance in ME, I don't think the devs will throw you a bone here. That would be a lot of unnecessary content on their part and on the part of anyone who didn't have Liara as a LI. I also don't think Liara will join your party. More likely than not, she will be support that will fight elsewhere, or she might pop up at opportune moments to help Shepard take down the SB, including the final confrontation, where she will undoubtedly destroy the SB. What would actually be cool is if you can do a paragon interrupt when she's about to kill the SB, and you need to charm/intimidate her to keep her loyalty to the romance a la Zaeed.

I'm just saying, don't make your expectations really high. Like her cameo in ME2, they will probably fall short to your standards.

I'm not setting my expectations high. All I'm saying is BioWare better knock this out of the ballpark or they can kiss a ME3 sale goodbye. This is last chance saloon baby.

I hope they don't focus solely on the Shadow Broker and not do any Liara character development.

Well I should say that more likely than not you are mistaking in this regard. Considering that this is a DLC heavily centered on Liara there is just no escaping on Bioware's part from the expectations of romance acknowledgement where the case will be for it. And it's obvious that the devs are aware of this. Note that even in the very brief encounter with her on Illium in ME 2 there still was content specific to romance, so it would just make sense that they would do the same for a DLC where Liara will get much more screen time than she did on Illium. I'm not saying it will be anything huge, that's for certain, but I'd put money on the fact that there will be a little something for those us who romanced her .

You known what would be even great than fact of existence of this DLC?

... free distribution via (dead by now) free part of Cerberus network... but that would be perhaps too much to ask so i hope that price for Lia DLC will be reasonable.

Seriously speaking this DLC is last chance to my return to ME2... on the other hand if (as some signals indicated) this DLC will take place after C-Base mission i wonder if choices made there (aka "break" Timmy's heart by blowing that station up for example) will actually affected that DLC intro?

But all we can do now is wait for release date...

Yes it would be nice of BioWare to say, "Here's Liara's DLC for free after all we've put you through for nearly a year now."

Of course they won't be that cool.

No matter how good this DLC will be it will have a bitter taste of us paying more money to get what we should have got 7 months ago.
