My thoughts are that she isn't going to be a squad mate after the DLC. She'll be just a temp character till her story is finished. The missions will be like with Overlord, where once you start it, you're stuck till it's finished. I imagine it'll start on Illium, where Liara sends you a message, asking to meet her right away. Once you arrive, you'll find Liara being attacked by the Shadow Broker troops, and try to get her off world. Once that's done, Liara tells you she believes she's finally found the Shadow Broker, but needs to do this on her own, since this requires stealth. The Normandy will cause too much attention. Shepard then convinces her to allow him to help, and she agrees, making the rest of the DLC just Shepard and Liara, going to different worlds in a small ship, trying to find the Shadow Broker.

That's a sound theory.

I'm hoping it will include more non-combat missions. Like the beginning of Kasumi's Loyalty Mission. Something that gives a glimpse into the world of intrigue that Liara's been dealing with for two years.

thing is can they make this a overlord size dlc I mean the shadow broker is such a massive part of the game I think this could be something like a expansion pack and if what they said about using the dlcs now to brige the gap between 2 and 3 this will be a good start

I woulnd't mind a decent portion of the DLC devoted to no-combat areas. Or where the ability to charm your way through is able.

"EDIT" It's also 3:22 AM here in Denmark. Good night everybody! Sweet dreams of the DLC! :innocent::P

Well, that's what I think. I think it'll be more of a way to learn about Liara, and who she is right now, and what she's been doing. I don't think you'll kill the Shadow Broker. If anything, you'll just hurt his business, and force him into hiding. My guess is you'll be given a choice between Liara taking over, so the Shadow Broker can't get his business back, or just letting it all go, so she can have a bit of her life back.

I'm not quite willing to guess what the choices will be, but I don't think we'll be killing the Shadow Broker either. At least, I hope we won't. I think we should learn about Feron's ultimate fate and get to kill Tazzik.

And if it would work; fit the Virmire Survivor in as well.

Well, I think both VS and Wrex will be getting their own DLC quests.

Some people think the renegade outcome for this dlc will be, encouraging Liara to take over as the new SB.

I hope to gawd this does not happen, or is even an option

I would still prefer that being an option over there being a renegade choice of betraying and killing Liara.

I don't think I could handle the "I liek so totally killed her betch ass cuz Tali pwnz!". Image IPB

Kaiser Shepard wrote...

Fifty bucks says he'll turn out to be the elusive Shadow Broker, like I speculated in a topic a long time ago:

The third, however, is exclusive to the Mass Effect: Redemption comic: Feron, an agent of the Shadow Broker who joins Liara on her quest to save Shepard's body from none other than the Shadow Broker himself. In the end he ends up getting captured by the Broker's enforcer, Tazzik... or did he?

I find it to be highly unlikely that the Shadow Broker turns out to be someone, or something, we never knew. Revealing the identity of an entity this mysterious and intriguing will no doubt be one of the memorable moments of the series, and thus it will probably be a shocking revelation to say the least. A random volus or asari would not have the same impact as someone you may know and possibly care about.

Wouldn't having Liara's new friend turning out to be the Shadow Broker be a great twist? I can definitely see BioWare pulling a Keyser Söze like that, which would also change how one would look at the comic: the legendary Shadow Broker turning out to have been playing with Liara, Cerberus and the Collectors/Harbinger all along, never intending to sell the hero of the Battle of the Citadel to the Collectors, but just furthering his own plans, whatever those may be...

What's if it's Conrad? xD

I think the renegade choice might be killing him while the good choice will be to help liara not kill him and let her anger go

Come on guys, Liara's coming back! Start talking dammit!

Well, there is a lot of talking. But the majority of said talking is taking place on the highly exclusive, invitation-only Liara Discussion Group. Image IPB

Have you even tried hitting the join button?  There are over NINE HUNDRED members.  I wouldn't call that exclusive.  Also it's been around since before ME2 even his store shelves.

For the record I missed probably 60 pages of this thread so I don't know what beef you and other people have with each other.

@ Bob . . . he's talking about a smaller private Liara group that most of the regulars from this thread migrated to after yet another argument over MShep vs. FemShep.

So, basically FemShep players. . . I believe.

If that was an option, it could mean a reduced (or nonexistent) role for Liara in ME3.

There's another thing I missed.
