Well, she's changed a lot compared to her in her office. Compare them, and they almost look like completely different people.
But the one on top is the real Liara! The one I romanced in ME1!
Unless it is an effect of the lighting it seems as though there is less distinction between her face and crest now. It blends more smoothly and I must say it looks much better to me. She also looks more youthful now.
In fact saying that, maybe her appearance in her office is by her design. To appear older and more imposing?
Well anyway, here's to hoping that this is a great addition to the game. Can't wait!

I have to say though, regarding Liaras new outfit, I definitely wouldnt call it "sexy". Its 0% sexy for me, and 100% functional. Its like her labcoat only it looks good for a firefight. I definitely like it, and when I look at jokes like Miranda and Samaras smut suits or Jack basically being half-naked, its definitely a relief to see what Liara is given for this DLC.

At any rate, I am happy that she isn't running in some sexy, tight get-up as well, like they had her doing in the comic. We've had enough OOC for now.

I hope the DLC is at least 5-7hrs long. But most likely it will be 3ish hrs in length. One can dream a tiny bit.
Something that approaches 5 hours or even more would be an absolute dream,
However, Im guessing the same. However, geting to about 3 hours wouldnt be too bad, provided 80-90% isnt combat that is.

Aye. Considering that the ME2 squadmembers didn't have that much screentime again. Having Liara get 3-4 hours of DLC wouldn't be so bad (as long as the majority of the content isn't combat/hammerhead).

Well, Im also hanging on to the pathetic hope that Bioware is using (ala Hammerhead potentially) some of this DLC as a blueprint for ME3. Basically, Im hoping to see some signs that Bioware is thinking "okay, we may have gone overboard with orienting the game around action in ME2, so lets try and refine the gameplay a little to be more accomodating of stuff that isnt cover based shooting".
Although I didnt play overlord myself, I was somewhat relieved to hear certain reviews claiming that the entire missions arent just "run, cover and gun", and that maybe Bioware is looking to address the "barely anything to the gameworld but one off shooting galleries" problem many folks have complained about.

You didn't play overlord? Why not?
But back to the point: Overlord is a good start, but there is still lots of room for improvement as always. And while alot of it was still shooty-shooty. It felt good because the combat areas are all more open and arena like compared to many levels in the original ME2.

Now, the question is, how will they justify Liara not coming with you if you complete the DLC before the suicide mission?
My hope is that, rather than creating a new obligation for Liara (eg her becoming the Shadow Broker), she is badly injured, and won't recover by the time you leave. Yes, it means seeing Liara injured, but it's a better story.

Liara: "Shadow Broker!"
Shepard: "But we just killed him..."
Liara: "Shadow Broker!"
Shepard: "All right, then..."
