What's your thoughts on the Broker being someone that's passed from peron to person, and Feron is just just trying to get his position back, because the new guy is doing disturbing things?
That's another possibility too, which may provide a reason for Liara's hesitance or reluctance to make a decision at the end. As I said, that would make it personal, as she was friends with Feron (don't kill me!).
Why would he allow himself to be caught by the new SB, though? Or, was that not part of his plan?

Yes, MORE INFIGHTING is what this thread needs. Yep. C'mon, people. Liara is one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite. And the fan bs crap is making it SO hard for me even to get excited for the ONLY piece of dlc I truly have been waiting for.

What would you like to discuss?
Do you believe her quest for vengeance will ultimately end in the death of the Shadow Broker, or not? Or, will this be ultimately up to Shepard?
I'm sorry J, I went to bed . . . I hope you weren't mocking me, I'll take the bait, anyway.
Like the rest of Shepard's choices this one will be entirely up to Shepard. We'll be able to influence Liara's final decision either way, similar to the dialog wheel Baal made, which I am sure you guys in LDG saw by now. If the Shadow Broker dies in this DLC, I wouldn't put it past Bw to allow for Liara replacing him as an option. In that case, we can kiss her squad mate status for ME3 good bye.
If I wake up, I'll post something more coherent.

My last comment was not posted with any intent to start a flamewar between the fanbases. It was simply a "I like maleshep/Liara but there are also those who like femshep/Liara" Granted I should have worded it better. But I definetly didn't want to start anything.

I apologize for snapping at you, I just get irritated sometimes pretty easily

*Sigh* Three new pages. Three new pages thank to yet another stupid gender arguement that so far have only served to paint people who like to romance Liara with a Male Shepard as egotistical jerks who dislike other people's personal playing preferences simply for being different then their own.
I can't even begin to describe how depressing that is.

Also, if that's the case, maybe after killing the new guy, your choice is going to be who's gonna be the new broker: Feron or Liara.

Well, let's just get back on track. We all play Mass Effect, and we all appreciate Liara. I just think that's what we can draw from this argument.
Now, a fun little game here: Can anyone think of where Liara would be placed if she did (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) come aboard the Normandy SR2? There's a popular thought that the previously unvisited (and its entrance unseen) Shuttle Bay deck might be revealed.

Hey Indigo!
Also I don't think the situation is that bad.

Not necessarily. In the comic, the SB infers that he can be wherever he needs to be. In ME1, you have the option, not that anyone has done this, to save Liara toward the end of the game. Even if you save Liara first, there is still quite a bit of game before she boards the Normandy. What I am getting at is that Liara could still be the new SB and be on the Normandy. The two need not be mutually exclusive. It may mean that we don’t get her for 25% of the game (50% at the absolute worst). Also, if Liara is the new SB, she could take the place of TIM/The Council and thus we “could” see more of her in the 3rd game than even in the first. Also, seeing Liara, but having her be apart would make the romance that much more challenging. Thus making the romance more of a romance, instead of a means to an end.
