Now, a fun little game here: Can anyone think of where Liara would be placed if she did (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) come aboard the Normandy SR2? There's a popular thought that the previously unvisited (and its entrance unseen) Shuttle Bay deck might be revealed.

I think so....they might have to add another area (like the Shuttle Bay level, as we know that exists somewhere) and another room to that area.   It's possible this is a change to the main game that was made for this DLC that the dev spoke of.

Currently, there are no open rooms, and I have a full squad, so there's no room for her now.

And, Jlb, I'd just like to say that I really like the new sig banner! *thumbs up*

Thanks!

Do you guys think Feron will be in the upcoming DLC? What if BioWare decided to go Usual Suspects on us and make him the Shadow Broker? (however unlikely this might be)

Well, let's just get back on track. We all play Mass Effect, and we all appreciate Liara. I just think that's what we can draw from this argument.

Hmmm. I think my Shep might skillfully suggest Miranda move out to live closer to her sister, in case TIM gets any ideas.  Then Liara could have that big office.  Failing that, we could renovate the com room, not like my Shep will be speaking w/ TIM any more.  And failing that, there's always the captain's quarters.  We could "share."

I think there's a good chance that Feron will be in the upcoming DLC. In fact, knowing Bioware, I'm quite sure of it.

I hope Feron is in the DLC, but I seriously doubt he's the SB. I'm holding out hope he'll be a squaddie in ME3.

*Sigh* Three new pages. Three new pages thank to yet another stupid gender arguement that so far have only served to paint people who like to romance Liara with a Male Shepard as egotistical jerks who dislike other people's personal playing preferences simply for being different then their own.

I can't even begin to describe how depressing that is.

Hey Indigo!

Also I don't think the situation is that bad.

No, I think it is. It's hard to erase a reputation --even falsely gained. And very easy to gain one. I skimmed the previous pages and it was clear that the loudest voices who were in --supposed-- support of MaleShep, were not voicing themselves in a couthe manner.

"It takes a hundred hands to build a dam, but only one to breach it."

I won't deny that there is some tension between the fan bases, but I don't think we gone so far as loathing each other.

A bit of competition for Thane eh?

I can honestly say, the bit I'm most looking forward to in this DLC (apart from having Liara back in some capacity) is finding out more about the SB.

I definitely think so.  I don't think he will be joining up with you...he may even be dead by the time you reach him.

If anything, (and if he is not the SB), I hope he will at least make an appearance.  My biggest fear for LotSB is on the side of voice acting and number of characters involved.  Truly, the hunt for the SB could be made into an Awakening size post SM expansion. Unfortunately, such is not the case.  If we go by BW's track record, we will have Liara and perhaps one other major VA in this dlc.  Then again, this dlc is a bit different from the others. I can’t remember which dev said it, but apparently this dlc has been in the works for a very long time. Perhaps parts were even developed alongside the original game.   Also, one could argue that this is essentially Liara’s loyalty mission and allows for her to be ready, willing and able for ME3.  Anyway, I think I skiiped past the point of the question, which would be a definite maybe.

If he's dead, well I highly doubt Liara will be happy about that. I hope BioWare just don't forget about him. It would make Redemption even more pointless if they did.

How about Tazzik? I'd like to see him in it too.

I thought I'd bring to your attention some preliminary results of that demographics poll I've been promoting. I thought Liara fans might appreciate that it's not an entirely Tali sweep.

Yeah, I'm sure I've read that this has been in the works for a while, I think Gamble or Jarrett said it. Also that fact that there is no localised version for central Europe is different to say the least, could point to a relatively large VA cast (compared to Overlord) and an unwillingness to spend the time/money localising it correctly.

I am seriously hoping that everything I have speculated on with regards to Liara gradually opening up over the course of the DLC, and revealing the extent of her anguish, pain and suffering does come to fruition in this DLC. Like I have said before, I would love it if Liara's DLC mission is like an expanded version of Jack's loyalty mission, with extensive and deep dialogue from Liara interspersed amongst the combat sections, with Liara relating to everything she has went through, and her fear that her actions will cause Shepard to hate her, as well as inducing incredible guilt and self-loathing within her. I would also like it if there is additional and unique dialogue if Liara is your LI, and possibly an additional special scene if the player romanced and remained faithful to Liara too.

I remain hopeful of this, as Gamble confirmed that this DLC has been in the works for some time, and that they've got some kind of treat planned. Considering the positive feedback for story driven DLC like Overlord and Kasumi, I hope that BW takes note and makes Liara's DLC even more substantial and deeper.

Yes! I want to see both Feron and Tazzik in this DLC, in full 3D for the first time! I always read Feron's lines in Thane's voice, but I doubt he will sound like him. His voice might be more akin to Kolyat's.

Tazzik? Boss battle, for sure. I think he will sound like a deeper voiced and more gruff salarian. Either way, I think it will be interesting to see the pair of them!

Yeah, I thought the same too.

They may have had the foresight to grab VO from the ME2 VA's while they were also creating ME2.

Or not....I would like at least some dialog from Tali/Garrus, and probably Miranda too, given her involvement.  I don't expect this to happen, though it would be nice.

Oh, and I wonder if Alingon will be visited in this DLC, the location of one of the SB's bases in Redemption? The planet already exists in ME2, so maybe both Shepard and Liara will return there at some point to look for clues?

I'm sure that will be one planet and level, yes.  Probably not the final one, but one of them.

Les, if BioWare don't take the opportunity to explain and explore Liara's feelings over what happened to her, then they seriously undermine my view of them as good story tellers (this as already been shaken by ME2's story). But I think you will be proved right, there will be some exposition, hell most people probably don't know what happened to her in Redemption and might have missed that conversation option, so they need to get these people up to speed.

BW need to take this chance to repair the damage done to her character.

Liara may have to return to Alingon at some point to acquire some information that would complete her data concerning the location of the SB, before both Liara and Shepard then fly off to it's main base which will serve as the final level of the DLC, and the location where the SB is confronted.

I like the idea of Feron being a squadmate as much as Kolyat, which is to say not at all, but I dont see a problem with any other new drell being on the squad.

Really though I think Feron is too involved as a support character to become a squadmate. Its like people saying Aria for squadmate - yeah I like Aria, but shes kinda central to Omega, so jumping up to shoot baddies and cause asplosions with Shepard doesnt quite mesh.

Its why Im going to be watching where this DLC takes Liara very closely. One thing the game didnt shirk was the ability to ask Liara to join, even if she did decline. Maybe 3 or more times you could ask her if memory serves. Hopefully the DLC lets you ask once more, just to perhaps keep that "squadmate question" alive. If she starts getting comfortable as a supporting NPC, I can imagine where its going to go.

Yes, and that is what I hope this DLC will provide. Exposition and elaboration on her character, which I feel is necessary and warranted, of course. Contrary to some, I don't believe Liara's character has been "butchered" at all, it just needs work and a little clarification and it could be deeply compelling, and satisfying and her current character arc could improve her character immensely. That's what I am hoping.

I do honestly expect that what I am suggesting will happen.

If Indigo is still on, please answer my pm . . . people are active in this thread woohoo!

Ok, so do you guys realistically think that Liara will be killable in this dlc or that she will even replace the Shadow Broker if the renegade option allows it? I have to play this with June Shepard, obviously, who is renegade . . .omg, that will make me sick to my stomach if that is a possibility.

Shav, I doubt she'll be killable in the DLC, it wouldn't make sense simply dut to the fact that not everyone will buy the DLC and to kill a major character in it would make intergrating the descision into ME3 harder. Plus, I just don't want it to happen! Becoming the SB, that is more possible but still quite a major change to Liara's role in the game and thus challenging to intergrate into ME3 if only a proportion of people played the DLC.
