Quite good, I wish I had the skills to draw my Shep and Liara.

Thanks. All this Liara talk got me going. Had to doodle something to hold myself over. -.-

Sometimes I just want to redo ME1 for more Liara.

Why couldnt we see more of her in ME2? :(

Because BioWare didn't expect people to go nuts for a blue space chick, maybe? :P

Nah. I'm sure they've got something up their collective sleeves. If they shaft us though, I demand a "Girls of Mass Effect" calendar or something.

Maybe they wanted to put more focus on Tali.<_<

Yeah, but I figured I'd be fair. I'm sure if they did a calendar for each girl, the Liara one would sell in a heartbeat. I need to stop drooling all over my keyboard now...

If they put em all together theyd probably do one girl for each month.

Id keep my calander on the month Liara is pictured on year round.

I fully support this concept .

By the way, thanks for doing your part to contribute to the mental health of this thread.  (There seems to be a cycle -- 1, thread is happy and optimistic, 2, thread trends down, 3, just when thread is so grim even Stubbs is pessimistic (omg!), 4, someone posts a pic or a link to a pic, and 5, thread trends back to optimistic .)

I'll try my best to break the cycle and not be sucked into the depths of pessimism next time.
Liara says "Optimism is the best attitude"!
Liara also says "Follow the logic and you will be fine".

Another thing about Liara was that in Mass Effect 1, she was a researcher on the Protheans, but in ME2, she avenging her friend and of course Shepard, by hunting down the Shadow Broker. In Mass Effect 2, they must have completely forgotten about her work on the Protheans. I can tell how shocked she'll be when she learns that the Collectors were once Protheans, and are working with the Reapers. And unless there's DLC that will involve Liara, that will wait until ME3. Putting that aside, Liara to me is THE best romantic option for Commander Shepard for players like me and everyone else in this forum who love her character.

Even though she's getting quite upset, don't you think it's still cute when Liara confronts Benezia on Noveria? Liara's frustration with her is so endearing, heh! But then, we get then sad scene when Liara has to watch Benezia struggle with her indoctrination, and the way she pleads "Mother!" is really heartbreaking. Poor Liara. :/

Also, I'd totally buy a Liara calendar. Pictures of Liara for every month of the year? Yes please!

They kind of acknowledged it, she does say it's similar to dig sites, but yeah, I'd like to know how one makes the transition from archaeologist to information broker. Seems like one heck of a career change.

Yeah, I actually kinda cried out "AW NO!" when I hit that scene. So sad. T_T

Hey, maybe during town time between classes, I can whip up a fake calendar for us. XD

Yeah, ME2's adventure would have been great for her to experience.

Yeah, I always feel terrible killing Liara's mother. At least you can try and comfort her after. She is such a strong person.
She has been through hell and Shepard needs to help her come back.

I think I would get a Liara calendar custom made if BioWare doesn't put one out.

You've then got to admire how Liara then remains calm on the Normandy after Benezia's death. Her optimism and positive outlook in the face of adversity and heartbreak is just so endearing.

Which is why Shepard's death and Liara's reaction to it is just heartbreaking, it shows how much he/she means to her and why she's fighting tooth and nail to get him/her back. God, I really hope we get to have an intimate conversation with Liara in the DLC, help her overcome just how emotionally she's been tormented in these two long years. God, I feel bad for her. :/

As long as I think about ME1 or what could happen in the future (without taking into consideration what did happen in ME2) then I can be optimistic.  It would definitely be nice if they showed the attention to Liara, Ashley, and Kaiden in the future that they didn't show in the game.
But I don't think it is pessimistic to talk about the reality of ME2 at all.  The facts are that the only difference between an LI import and a default/non-LI consist of: telling Liara to get people into the pods, a picture on your desk, a kiss, and the staring at the picture cutscene.

Edit: I can't get the diagram I had here to format out correctly so I'm just removing it.

After the kiss the encounter doesn't branch, it CONVERGES.  All those things on Illium that Liara says; are not said by Liara the love interest.  That Shepard sitting in the chair talking to Liara; that isn't the Shepard you imported, it is the default Shepard.  Why doesn't Liara open up more?  Because the Shepard she's talking to never returned her feelings.  Why doesn't Shepard say the things that so blatantly scream out to be said?  Because that Shepard sitting there never loved her.
I'm seriously, and quite desperately, hoping that we are given a chance to interact with Liara as an LI.

I think in a way I'm kind of glad she sat out the base ME2 campaign.  The new combat system isn't robust enough to handle her without neutering her combat effectiveness or turning her into a Samara clone.  It gives my import Sheps a plausible reason to test the new romance options too.

Her in-game presentation is pretty horrible though.  I wouldn't cry foul if they retroactively patched out the original reunion scene with something that makes what's happening more obvious.

I at least wished we had more conversations with her.

I do indeed admire that.
I always think about how brave and strong she is to actually deal with something that terrible.
She is truly an amazing and beautiful person.

I strongly hope that in the Expansion, BioWare adds at least a few lines of dialogue to the first reunion scene (I could see them doing it, adding on to the scene would make the start of the Expansion believable) and we have emotionally heartwarming, loving, yet serious (the situation is very serious) conversations with her in the Expansion.
Shepard should have spent ME2 helping Liara, not the squad. I believe Liara is the most important and wonderful person in ME.

I'm quite certain that we will get to interact with Liara as an LI in the DLC. Seriously, they can't have her temporarily join the Normandy crew as speculated and not have Shepard and Liara talk about their feelings for each other. Liara still cares deeply for and loves Shepard as evidenced by what she says in ME2. Hopefully, Shepard will also respond in some intimate way, too.

I think that those of us that have Liara as our LI will get additional scenes and dialogue in her DLC. Seriously, if the DLC is about her, why wouldn't they include content that is integral to her character and cover stuff (her love for Shepard) that has made her into what she is in ME2?

Well it's speculated that Liara will temporarily join Shepard for a mission, and of course that means she'll have to join the Normandy to actually get there.

Ample opportunity for some intimate conversation with her.

Because it wouldn't be "fair" to the Kaidan and Ash fans. Pfft, screw them. >.>

I do definitely think it should be touched on though. I'd love it if they expanded on it.
