I like this.  A lot :)  Taken from the Ashley group's motto, that's really cool!  All three of the ME1 li's are worth it. . . .they were the best anyway (........).

Here's to hoping they don't mess up this dlc!  I want a trailer and more screenshots!  Or even a release date :o

Recently I've wondered how exactly Liara knows her second parent was an asari. If it's purely from her own extrapolation, then there's a possibility that she is mistaken.

What if her second parent is something entirely different? And Benezia just let Liara believe her parent was another asari to protect her from whatever the truth may be?

Now, I'll just be the first to say that this wondering has all the makings of a classic shark-jumping moment if incorporated into the story, but it's something that I don't remember being brought up before on this thread.

Dont the Asari always say that they have memories or certain unique attributes of both parents...maybe an asari can tell because of that who her parents are even if she didnt know em. I think the bartender on Illium is a good Example.

Or Benezia just told Liara, at one point, as well. I can see Liara being a very inquisitive child, wanting to know about anything and everything. But it would make sense that an Asari would inherently know, based on her genetics what species the fathering race was. Maybe Liara's badass streak comes from Aria?

Hmm, from your talks with Liara in ME1 I don't really have any reason to believe that Benezia lied to Liara about her 'father' being an Asari.

So, we are now only days away from the month of August and the possibility of further screenshots of the Liara DLC, as well as the release of a promotional trailer. Is anybody else incredibly excited? I certainly am! Although I think Ali did a fantastic job voicing Liara in ME2 considering the circumstances, I would love to hear what Liara will sound like in this DLC when Ali has had time to prepare for her role, and the trailer will allow us to hear Liara's voice for the first time. I also wish to see what Liara looks like, and how she acts in this trailer as well as a possible glimpse interaction and dialogue with Shepard. Hell, I just desperately want more info! Will she be a temporary squadmate? What is the release date? What is the size and scope of this DLC? Approximately, how long will this content take to complete? Is there a chance of romantic content with Liara?

I can't wait!

Matriarch Benezia wasn't a sufficient enough source of badassitude?:P

Have you faced an asari commando unit before? Few humans have.

Yup Les, more info is most definitely required. Hopefully we're only a few weeks at the most away from the actual release. BioWare seem to have a 3-4 week gap between announcement and release of major DLC.

Too true. I know Overlord was released on the 15th of June, but I can't for the life of me remember when it was announced. However, I do recall that it was mere weeks from the actual release, so that might bode well for us being able to download the Liara DLC soon enough.

However, if the Liara DLC is indeed more substantial and bigger in scope than Overlord, then BW may consider this a major release for ME2 and consequently will want to hype up and market Liara's DLC as much as possible, which could result in the timespan between announcement and actual release being far greater. I just want a trailer, and more information! I am desperate for more Liara content! I do think that said trailer and more screenshots are forthcoming, though. Perhaps the first week of August?

At any rate, a late August release for the Liara DLC would be fantastic. The month would go by so slowly! I need more Liara content! Can't wait!

Aethyta did in fact, know both her parents. I doubt an asari's manner is dictated by her genes. Rather, Aethyta's unusual manner was due to the fact that her krogan father was present for her upbringing.

And I doubt that an asari sired by a turian would be very much physically different from one sired by a salarian. As that shopkeeper said, "they're just using alien DNA to randomize the genetic information".

If you're going to be thinking about the release date for DLC, one thing to remember is that Bioware said --they made a point of specifying, in fact-- that they'd been working on The Lair Of The Shadow Broker for a long time now.

This might mean one of two things;

One; they've been working on this for a while and subsequently, it might be released sooner than we realize.

Or two; they've been working on this for a while, but it still won't be released right around the corner, possibly meaning that it will be on the substantially larger size, content-wise.

If it meant that the DLC were larger, then I would gladly wait for a while longer.

We've already been waiting for six months.

Indigo, I think BioWare have been remarkably consistent with the announcement and releases of both Overlord and Kasumi, in that they announce on a Thursday, then release it about 4 weeks later on a Tuesday. I don't really see them changing that with LotSB. Could be wrong though!

Let us hope so. The release of a trailer featuring Liara and additional screenshots would be enough to satiate me...for about two days.:bandit:

I want Liara back ASAP!

The potential drama of the inevitable confrontation between Liara and the Shadow Broker is immense. I hope BioWare realise that potential, as the scene in question could be deeply powerful and, to me, one of the most emotionally resonant in ME2 in it's entirety. I assume that there will be a "talk down" option with Liara, as a possible Paragon route. Convince Liara that killing the Shadow Broker will not ease her pain or anguish.

I could swear I read in the dlc thread from a Bioware employee a statement that gave the conclusion that it is not even coming out in August...gonna look for it.

I think he said something to the effect of that more information regarding the Liara DLC will be released in August. That doesn't necessarily preclude the DLC itself also being released in August, however.

Sounds like he is just backtracking on his previous statement to avoid an unofficial confirmation of the release date, something that the marketing staff would be keen to avoid. That's what it seems like to me.
