It's possible, but if Benezia was already lying to her about her parentage, why choose an asari and not another race (volus, salarian), in order to protect Liara from the pureblood stigma?

About the DLC release, there is also another DLC gun pack to be released prior to the Liara DLC....this will probably come in August. But, who knows...they could release the LotSB DLC a week after that, or a month after that.



It is August next week, so we can start impatiently waiting for more info then.

Well...I just started a new ME2 game, in preparation for this DLC...I wonder if I should wait on the item packs? What is it? Just 3 new guns, right?

I wonder...if Liara doesn't join up at the end of this DLC, what will her excuse be this time?



Will it have something to do with a major twist happening at the end of the thing, or will it be as simple as 'I have to sift through all this data, sorry!' ??

I'd wait for the guns at least. That way, by using new weapons, it makes things a bit fresh. Also, I'm waiting for Liara's DLC before I replay my canon Sheps. To pass the time, I did a paragade playthrough (Did the main paragon choices, but hit all the renegade triggers, hit all intimidate options, etc. Samara still think's I'm a good person oddly) with a Shepard I plan on deleting.

The audio clips left in the game that are about the DLC are pretty clear. She doesn't join your crew, and she "has to shift through all this data". Hopefully those clips lie

Those clips also mention the Observer and the Illium data points, thus making it highly likely they are cut content that was left on the disc. The Observer and data point quests were repurposed into what we see in the game.

Some (me) believe those clips are from cut ME2 content and have nothing to do with the DLC.

First, they were thrown in with her other ME2 dialog files, and were not extracted from the files titled 'LiaraDLC'...those ones were empty.

A second thing, some of those clips would be contradictory if the Liara DLC takes place after the suicide mission.  However, if the DLC mission can be started prior to the sucidice mission, this may not matter.

I think, at one point, Liara's ME2 role was to be more extensive, but then they decided to do the Redemption comic book and moved a portion of her story into that medium.  Thus, some things in ME2 got cut, including that dialog.

I hope that if Liara not join Shepard in the end of the DLC the reason for that is because she still need to destroy the rest of the SB information network to avoid that some of the most powerful of the SB agents take his place.

That's a possibility too...I know this is the case in the audio files...Liara still wants you to take out 'The Observer' even though the SB is now defeated.

I'm sure the SB empire cannot be dismantled overnight.

One other posibility is that Nyxeris is not the Observer but just an Observer agent and Liara will only discover this after take down the SB. Altought the files probably will not be in the DLC the reason for Liara not to join Shepard will be something in those lines IMO, unless of course something happens in the DLC that make impssible for Liara join Shepard.
