Also, why would the Shadow Broker suddenly be concerned about the Reaper threat at large? It had no qualms about aiding the Collectors, which it must know serve the Reapers. Throughout the story so far, the SB has displayed itself to be completely immoral and only cares about money, and increasing it's own power by playing the political game. In addition, it has become a menace to galactic society that needs to be stopped after it broke it's own vow of neutrality in order to aid the Collectors. Liara is aware of this, and believes that she is stopping the Shadow Broker for the benefit of galactic society.

There's a good chance that he know of the Reapers. But he might not know that the Collectors are with the Reapers.

I have an idea of how Liara is going to act in the DLC if you moved on for the right reasons (aka, not to just have sex with Miranda because she's hot), but I'd like to keep it private till it happens or it doesn't happen.

Awwwww...I can't wait!

I seriously doubt it. The SB happens to be the best and most able player in the information field. I am almost certain it knows of the connection between the Collectors and the Reapers.

Furthermore, TIM is also aware of this connection. TIM is it's rival, and yet still a relative novice within the field, and yet he is aware of the Reaper/Collector connection. If TIM knows, then the SB knows.

Maybe, maybe not.  I know in the past, we have speculated that the SB is in deeper with the Reapers and may even be indoctrinated, but this may also not be the case.

Throughout the story so far, the SB has displayed itself to be completely immoral and only cares about money, and increasing it's own power by playing the political game.

Yes, but the SB will have no money and no power if the Reapers reap everything.  The SB looks out for #1, and if it can be shown that these Reapers are a thread to #1, the SB will want to stop them.

In addition, it has become a menace to galactic society that needs to be stopped after it broke it's own vow of neutrality in order to aid the Collectors. Liara is aware of this, and believes that she is stopping the Shadow Broker for the benefit of galactic society.

Of course...but alot of this is still speculation...there may be more going on than we are aware of.

Oh, and I seriously hope that the cabin scene that I have descrived in full numerous times is also implemented in Liara's DLC, if you have an active faithful romance with her. Seriously, what I have described and speculated on would be so moving, and I would absolutely love it!

I don't think that the SB broke is vow of neutrality when he made the deal with the collectors the collectors offer was the best so he was seling the body to them IMO he would break his vow of neutrality if he refused to make a deal with the collectors just because they are the collectors. I wouldn't mind having the SB in TIM's place in ME3 as long as Liara agree with this of course but I would like to see the SB forced to help not do it willingly because if this happens Liara hunt for him would have been for nothing.

Doubtful. The SB is the most powerful and influential information broker in the business. It simply must be aware of the Reaper/Collector connection. TIM, although it's chief rival in the field, is a relative novice and newcomer to the game and yet he is aware of this information and the connection between the two entities.

Exactly. It looks out for #1. Will it really care about Shepard? Is Shepard not just a tool to discard? All this, assuming that the SB cares about the Reapers in the first place, of course.

Of course...but alot of this is still speculation...there may be more going on than we are aware of.

I hope so. But, I don't think that it will ultimately be the case. It also kinda invalidates Liara's two year long hunt.

Well, let's just say if Bioware does their job right, they'll make me cry and feel bad, but at least I'll be happy that Liara and me are still good friend.

Actually, screw it. This whole "the Shadow Broker becomes the quest giver in ME3" idea could be quite interesting, if done well.

I'm pretty sure that Liara would be able to realise that it is a useful tool to be used in the upcoming war against the Reapers. I imagine that both Shepard and Liara would vow to stop it as soon as the mission is complete, however.

The SB might know now, but did he/she/it know at the time of dealing with the Collectors?  Also, Aria doesn't know much about the Reapers, and her influence is quite extensive as well.

Yes, well...looking out for #1 may involve allying with Shepard.

Maybe...maybe not.....the fact that an ally of Shepard's was able to hunt him/her/it down may impress the SB enough to agree to work with them against the Reapers.  Thus, Liara's two year hunt is not invalidated...if herself and Shepard gain a powerful ally against the Reapers b/c of this, I hardly see this as invalid.

You know what could be quite interesting?

During this DLC, it becomes necessary at some point for Liara and Shepard to go visit Aria to acquire some information. Reason being, it's almost like a repeat on a certain scene in Redemption, and both Liara and Aria should acknowledge each other as they are now acquainted.

Here's something that's on my mind.

If this DLC is gonna be after you beat the game, how are they going to do that? Not allow you to play it till after you've beaten it? Or will they do with what they're doing with Dragon Age, and having you import your character to the DLC?

No, please! Indulge yourself! I love talking about Aria's role as Liara's other parent.

Yes...yes...if they can get Carrie Ann Moss back to do some VO work....

Perhaps she recorded lines for the Liara DLC whilst also doing so for the retail version of the game?

Who knowns... some hints show that this DLC might be pretty heavy VOed so Aria could have another "fife minutes" of spotlight there.

But something tells me that we will see Aria in ME 3... especially if ME 3 devs will take under consideration "Retribution" events.

Yeah, but do you really think Liara's mom would want to do it with Aria, and have a kid?

Good question...I have no idea....

I would imagine that they will just prevent it from triggering until after the suicide mission.  As soon as you finish it (and only after you finish it), you will get an email from Liara.

There's really no need to import, as you can keep playing on after the end game, unlike DA.

Liara will email Shepard after the completion of the suicide mission, summoning her to her office on Illium and therefore triggering the start of the DLC.

That's what I believe.

Why not?  Aria's powerful, sexy, and charming.

Plus, it would explain why Benezia is too embarrassed to even tell Liara which asari it is.

Speaking of which, wouldn't it be weird if they were romance options, and you found out you've been sleeping with her father behind her back?

It must have done. The fact that only Collector ships are able to safely and successfully use the Omega 4 relay, itself Reaper technology, should heavily imply and indicate that they are slaves to the Reapers. The SB is the best in the business, if it is unaware of the fact that the Collectors serve the Reapers then it is not as good as we thought it is.

Also, Aria's sphere of influence is but a fraction of the SB's. Aria controls Omega, the SB manipulates and controls the entire galaxy.
