I do definitely think it should be touched on though. I'd love it if they expanded on it.
This is what I hope for too, but everything you just said is what we expected in ME2. Instead we get default Shepard talking to non-LI Liara. So I can be hopeful, but I can't quite get to the point where I can be "quite certain" because of the established precedent.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
I'm quite certain that we will get to interact with Liara as an LI in the DLC. Seriously, they can't have her temporarily join the Normandy crew as speculated and not have Shepard and Liara talk about their feelings for each other. Liara still cares deeply for and loves Shepard as evidenced by what she says in ME2. Hopefully, Shepard will also respond in some intimate way, too.

I think they're talking about the elevator selection screen, where it lists the party members (and "salvage" like Grunt's tank and Legion's body) available on each deck. So, on the Commander's Deck, instead of simply having no text, it says No available Crew Members.Somebody1003 wrote...

How can Shepard visit Illium after two years of being dead and not have Liara and Shepard talk about their feelings? I'd have thought it totally impossible until I sat there dumbstruck my first playthrough.

Yeah, and I believe that to be the case because it was taken out until Redemption has finished and we then get the proper meat of Liara's role and content in ME2. Seriously, it wouldn't be right for Liara to break down in tears in ME2, completely opening up to Shepard about how she's felt in the two years and the emotional pain she's suffered, and THEN you go on the mission to hunt for the Shadow Broker or whatever. It makes alot more sense for you to accompany and help Liara on her mission in which she faces her demons head on and then she breaks down to Shepard.
We know that Liara's ME2 scenes were cut to pieces, and I believe that is why.
