No arguements on that point LET. In her role of interpretor of both visions and language, I can see her as being able to decypher something that should allow Shepard to stop the Reapers in their tracks ... permanently. Perhaps relating to the relays, as suggested, but also perhaps something concerning the Reapers themselves.

Well, we won't know for sure untill around the end of 2011 or so, but still ....

Indeed. Have you noticed that both Noveria and Feros were removed from the codex in ME2, but that Virmire and Ilos remain? Possibility of returning to either planet in ME3, and Liara's Prothean expertise being necessary on Ilos?

I think that was more because those were the planets with most signifiance on the main plot.

Damn, I forgot this thread grows half a page every five minutes :D

LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...Yeah, I know. I'm just being sentimental and silly. I'm aware of the fact that Liara's overarching story role in the trilogy is vitally important, and probably second behind Shepard. I know it's due to the fact she received minimal screentime.

But still...additional voices.:crying:

Well, another reason could be that she was voicing other characters besides Liara... though I can't really remember any...

Yay!

It will be great bringing the team back together again.

Too bad Wrex and the alliance soldier won't join us.

Yeah, too bad. Image IPB

That is, unless the SB has been manipulated the Alliance and the Virmire Survivor into believing Liara is using Shepard. But then, while it potentially might be an interesting plot twist, it would actively pit the VS and Liara fanbases against each other.

And as for Wrex, they could just randomly run into a krogan cook-out with Chef Wrex wearing a "Kiss the cook's ass" apron.

And that would be bad because?

Be-caaause the Virmire Survivor is my second favorite and the fact that my brother --who I share a room with-- is a huge Ashley fan and I'd hate to be at odds with him.

Sounds like a good reason for me! "evil laughter"

But really. Have the VS and Liara at odds with each other could be interesting.

Maybe. I'd argue that all story worlds had a significant impact on the plot, however.

Noveria and Feros only gave clues to a puzzle. Ilos and Virmire was where all the big stuff happend.

Maybe, but if Liara did have significant screentime then both her and Ali would have received top billing, dammit!!! :P

Like I said, though, I'm sure the credits will be altered upon installation of Liara's DLC.

I don't think Feros or Noveria are mentioned in ME2 unless you have an imported character. Having a Codex entry on them would confuse new players who have no idea what those places are.

Don't you meet Gianna and a Zhu's Hope representative in ME2 in the default game? I'm not sure.

Hmm... actually, I think you do meet Zhu's hope representative (but not Shiala). Not sure about Parasini...

Well, yeah, it could be. I would like to see the themes of trust and loyalty woven into the story in a more directly narrative manner.

I thought they were included only b/c they were more plot critical missions in ME1?

We might return to Ilos though, but I doubt it.  I'm don't see why we'd return to Virmire, however.

It looks like they made her face extra blue...she's now even lost the pink coloring in her lips, on the tip of her nose, and around her eyes.

I guess they really listened to complaints about her not being blue enough in ME2 :P

Maybe they'll pull something like a small amount of Saren's research into indoctrination survived the nuclear blast?

It could be interesting, if done properly.

It would be extra emotional for me, given that Liara and my VS survivor (Ashley) are my two favorite ME squad mates from both games.

It would be ex-girlfried vs. ex-bestfriend....Shepard in the middle

And, yes, I say 'ex' as neither relationships are clearly 'on' atm.

Anyone else wish Liara and Thane could have interacted a bit? You know, since Thane also has reason to want the SB's head on a pike? They came to Illium at about the same time. I wonder if she ever hired him for a job?

I have wondered about that in the past, jtav. Thane also has a very personal reason for wanting the SB dead. Dialogue between both him and Liara could have been very interesting indeed.

IIRC, Thane was no longer accepting contracts in ME2, correct? He was killing people that he deemed to be evil of his own accord, right? I dunno.

Noveria is also a plot world. You get the coordinates for the Mu Relay from Benezia at Peak 15. If you don't go to Noveria, you cannot progress the story line any further.

Thats correct. Thane was no longer accepting contracts and was on a personal mission to rid the galaxy of some of the worst people, as a way of redeeming himself before he dies from Kepral's.

When I found out that Nasanna Dantius was Thane's Illium target I was so happy lol... I really despised getting duped by her on the Citadel.
