Anyone else wish Liara and Thane could have interacted a bit? You know, since Thane also has reason to want the SB's head on a pike? They came to Illium at about the same time. I wonder if she ever hired him for a job?
I have wondered about that in the past, jtav. Thane also has a very personal reason for wanting the SB dead. Dialogue between both him and Liara could have been very interesting indeed.
IIRC, Thane was no longer accepting contracts in ME2, correct? He was killing people that he deemed to be evil of his own accord, right? I dunno.
Thats correct. Thane was no longer accepting contracts and was on a personal mission to rid the galaxy of some of the worst people, as a way of redeeming himself before he dies from Kepral's.
Actually, it was a contract. The only difference was that Thane picked and chose which contracts he would accept, based on the above criteria, and he didn't accept any money for them (and technically, he wasn't doing it to redeem himself as we would understand it, only to bring balance into his life, as he says that ridding the world of bad things isn't the same as putting good in it, and thus doesn't make him a good man.)
I think Liara could have had dialog with a number of characters:
Thane (for reasons mentioned)
Miranda (obvious reasons)
Garrus (obvious)
Tali (obvious)
Heck, maybe she could have had a line for Samara, considering the nature of the Justicar. Maybe even Jack could have had a line if she was present during the conversation where Liara is discussing how she dealt with Neyx. Seems like a moment Jack would butt in on.
A disappointing reunion in more ways than one.
