I think that was more because those were the planets with most signifiance on the main plot.

Maybe. I'd argue that all story worlds had a significant impact on the plot, however.

Noveria and Feros only gave clues to a puzzle. Ilos and Virmire was where all the big stuff happend.

Noveria is also a plot world. You get the coordinates for the Mu Relay from Benezia at Peak 15. If you don't go to Noveria, you cannot progress the story line any further.

My point still stand. While all the plot worlds are important the REALLY big stuff happens on Virmire (Reaper reveal) and Illos (Endgame).

When I found out that Nasanna Dantius was Thane's Illium target I was so happy lol... I really despised getting duped by her on the Citadel.

Really? Looking back, I wish I had the option to save Nassana. She could usefull by giving me extra financial support and so on.

I was dissapointed that was all she had in the saga, but getting Azula killed made up for it.

Anyone else wish Liara and Thane could have interacted a bit? You know, since Thane also has reason to want the SB's head on a pike? They came to Illium at about the same time. I wonder if she ever hired him for a job?

I have wondered about that in the past, jtav. Thane also has a very personal reason for wanting the SB dead. Dialogue between both him and Liara could have been very interesting indeed.

IIRC, Thane was no longer accepting contracts in ME2, correct? He was killing people that he deemed to be evil of his own accord, right? I dunno.

Thats correct. Thane was no longer accepting contracts and was on a personal mission to rid the galaxy of some of the worst people, as a way of redeeming himself before he dies from Kepral's.

Actually, it was a contract. The only difference was that Thane picked and chose which contracts he would accept, based on the above criteria, and he didn't accept any money for them (and technically, he wasn't doing it to redeem himself as we would understand it, only to bring balance into his life, as he says that ridding the world of bad things isn't the same as putting good in it, and thus doesn't make him a good man.)

I think Liara could have had dialog with a number of characters:

Thane (for reasons mentioned)
Miranda (obvious reasons)
Garrus (obvious)
Tali (obvious)

Heck, maybe she could have had a line for Samara, considering the nature of the Justicar. Maybe even Jack could have had a line if she was present during the conversation where Liara is discussing how she dealt with Neyx. Seems like a moment Jack would butt in on.

A disappointing reunion in more ways than one.

Azula was one of the better villains I´ve seen in the last years, I kept hoping something very bad would happen to her most of the series...and then felt really sorry for her. With Nassana the latter is no problem.

Getting all the voice actors, or at least some of them would be nice, but I don´t see it happening. Nor Overlord nor BdtS had squadie dialogue, I think.

Please bring Liara back as a playable character for ME3. It would make me oh so happy to be able to have her in my crew again and much more dialogue/story about her and her background would be much appreciated since she is my favorite ME character. Smart and sophisticated! I don't often post on forums but I made an account here to post this because I love the Mass Effect universe. Now that the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC is in the works we should get to hear much more about what she was up to during ME2, but it would still be nice to continue that depth in ME3 to nullify the lack of involvement she had in the main ME2 plot. Thank you devs!

About the Liara and Thane thing:

It's quite possible that Thane contacted Liara, looking for information on Nassana Dantius.  Liara then could have been the one to direct him to Seryna.

IIRC correctly, Shepard drops Liara's name when asking Seryna for aid in locating Thane, so it seems that Seryna knows of and respects Liara.  It's even possible she's one of Liara's people now, who knows.

This is all speculation, of course. :D

Almost certain that Thane would have contacted Liara, actually. She's the most powerful and respected information broker in Nos Astra, and Thane is an intelligent man. There is absolutely no doubt in my eyes that he would have sought out information Liara could have provided concerning Nassana's whereabouts, and possibly been directed to Seryna by Liara herself.

You all should check out these un-used Galactic News files found on the disk.

Around 2:30 in that vid, we hear about the Shadow Broker....

Is the Shadow Broker's criminal empire collapsing? C-Sec officials detected emergency transactions from businesses tied to the mysterious figure. Financial broker Barla Von, linked as a possible SB source, was recently found dead. Authorities suggest that this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Interesting...

Man, I hate this waiting. I can't play my Male Shep till her DLC comes out, yet I want to play Mass Effect. I tried doing a pure renegade playthrough, to give me something to do, but I can't do it.

Yeah, as I outlined in the group, I believe that these audio files may have been set to trigger after meeting Liara on Illium, to give the player the impression that Liara is making serious progress in her hunt for the Shadow Broker, and that she is drawing ever closer to topelling it's empire altogether.

Am I the only one who can't play Renegade in ME any more? Feels like there no point because I get the same result using the default.

Checking something for a fic. There's nothing that contradicts the fact that Liara could be addicted to stims, is there? My current project isn't Liara-centric but I want to make sure I get her right for the one scene she isn in.

How the hell would that be possible in under 2 years without the Shadow Broker just blowing up her office?

Maybe something you'll hear after Liara's DLC?

I don't believe so. I actually think that the fact that Liara's pupils are dilated and she sounds incredibly tired, stressed and overwhelmed serve as evidence for this theory.

There's nothing right now. As for Renegade, I did a paragade playthrough, where the main choices were paragon, but everything else was Renegade. What I found out was that you get the same thing, except maybe 1000 more credits, and you treated people like **** (yet they don't seem to care). After learning that, I just don't see a reason to play renegade, unless you just want to be mean to people.

Those files indicate that the Shadow Broker's empire still exists, albeit severely weakened. It is extremely likely that we will be destroying it's organisation once and for all in the Liara DLC.

In addition, these files are not contained in the folders named "liaradlc". They are grouped with the rest of the cut content.

I know that. I'm just saying that as a reason why it might have been cut. Either after DLC, or because of what I mentioned.

I don't know...something must be up.  Maybe Liara is just that awesome.

It seems the Shadow Broker is considered to be a criminal by C-Sec as well.  I was under the impression agents like Barla Von kept their nose clean as far as Citadel law was concerned.

Oh, and I play as a Paragade...I make the major Paragon decisions, but there is some Renegade dialog and interrupts I like to take (like, telling the Council to shove their Spectre offer, for example).

Barla Von is probably completely innocent and doesn't engage in any illegal practices, but C-Sec possibly use him as a means to keep track of and monitor the Shadow Broker's activites.

As for Von, everyone knew he was an agent to the Shadow Broker. He just never broke the law, and used loopholes. The fact that a guy like him was found dead is disturbing. Sure all agents deserve to die because they're the enemy?

Anyways, if the Shadow Broker is going down that badly, then I'm seriously surpirse the Observer is just observing.

The whole Shadow Broker/Liara thing is full of just too many unanswered questions at this point...this DLC cannot come fast enough.
