The whole Shadow Broker/Liara thing is full of just too many unanswered questions at this point...this DLC cannot come fast enough.
Don't worry. Liara in the DLC will be a good person, or at least show that she had to do so much, and wants it to end.
You know, I thought of a new thoery for the kiss reaction. What if she pulled away, because she doesn't want you involve with someone like what she believes she is right now?

Right now I would just be happy to know for absolute certainty if it was either pre/post suicide mission (like the other DLC so far) or only post suicide mission. Hoping for the latter obviously.
Yes, as we are technically heading into August tonight, we should expect more information coming up. I bet this is one thing they will answer pre-DLC release, so people can prepare their games if needed.

Maybe, but is there any indication she hates what she has become? I don't see it. The only guilt she expresses is in handing Shepard's body over to Cerberus. They could, I guess, retcon this in the DLC, and have her express regret to Shepard, for her past actions. We'll see.
I don't think the Liara in ME2 is necessarily a bad person either. She is still a good person, but caught up in a bad situation, and thus has to take more extreme measures than the ones she would usually take. The problem (IMO) is that we just don't get to really talk to her about it, and the whole situation is confusing, especially if you romanced her. The DLC will (hopefully) repair this.

I do feel that it is made patently clear that Liara does not enjoy aspects of her job as an information broker, especially the strongarming and threatening. Her sad, pensive pause when she states "Everything I'm doing, I'm doing of my own free will....for better or for worse" is evidence of this, as well as expressing distaste when she states that the dead bodies still smell in her current line of work. As I said before, Liara is a fundamentally good person caught in an inherently bad situation.

I don't think that Liara has "become" a different person at all, and is not "bad" or "evil" in any way, shape or form at all. She's a fundamentally good person that happens to find herself in a terrible predicament, and an inherently bad situation that is forcing her to do terrible things that she absolutely hates. The only aspect of her character that I feel has changed is that her idealism and worldliness has been worn away, and that Liara is now alot more jaded and cynical as she has experienced the seedy, dirty underside of the galaxy. Prior to the events of ME1, I imagine that, fighting off pirates and mercenaries whilst on remote dig sites aside, Liara lived something of a sheltered life as the only daughter of a powerful and renowned Matriarch. She's extremely capable and independant, and mature too, but she did not experience these aspects of galactic society that happen to be dangerous, corrupt, dirty and extremely seedy. Travelling with Shepard and saving the galaxy has opened her eyes to the wrongs that persist in galactic society.

Yeah, I think so to. I was just a little disappointed with how brief Liara's ME2 appearance was. Really hope we see the real Liara return in ME3.

I do enjoy how "Lair of the Shadow Broker" has pretty much turned into "The Liara DLC", that's certainly what I've been calling it. Here's to hoping that there is indeed a maximum of Liara and a minimum of Shadow Broker, and that, when the Shadow Broker is eating floor (or I may send the remains into dark space for the reapers) Liara can join the Normandy... Or is, at least, still alive.
We've been referring to it as the "Liara DLC" since ME2's release, I doubt that's going to change anytime soon!

Indeed, Liara's lack of screentime in ME2 was very disappointing. That will most certainly be addressed in her upcoming DLC!

Quiet day today, huh? Hmmm, allow me to try to initiate some discussion. Do some of you guys also subscribe to my belief that Liara will gradually open up over the course of her DLC mission, and reveal the extent of her suffering and the anguish she has endured? Do you also believe that we will be able to comfort and console her at last?

In my opinion we can see the whole mission as Liaras Loyalty Mission...hopefully in the style of Kasumi and Zaaed, in which it will lead to her being onboard and in the team...and in which ya can have a final dialogue followed by the standard cuddle options in your cabin.
I also expect that, if it will be post suicide mission, it will be an extern addon like Lelianas Song or the Darkspawn Chronicles. meaning you can either choose to play the main story or play "The lair of the Shadow Broker" where you import your save...with the difference that you can after that still complete missing N7 missions and keep floating around in the ME space.

I really hope that Liara and Shepard talk about everything that happened in the time they have been separeted not only about Liara suffering but I also want that Shepard is able to tell her how much he have missed her since he got back and see Shepard show his love for Liara not only by conforting her but also by reafirming his love for her.

I really hope that your right. That one screenshot gives me some hope. It would be great if she starts somewhat hellbent on finally getting her vengance, then (if you choose to) Shepard can question her if her vendetta have consumed her. Resulting in her opening more and more up.

To be quite honest, I've given up trying to predict what they'll do in the DLC after what they did with her cameo in ME2 and the poor showing in Redemption.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

I hope a lot of your ideas will be true since that would be fairly ideal, but I won't really "believe" in it until I see it.
And now I bid you all goodnightmorning because the sun is coming up.

Redemption was a mess, yeah, but I thought Liara's ME2 cameo had potential and could have been quite interesting and compelling, had it been executed better. It desperately needed increased elaboration and exposition, which is something that I'm confident this DLC will provide.
Good night!

However, I was merely speculating on what the possible choices are likely to be regarding the inevitable confrontation with the Shadow Broker.

Yup, of course Liara is wise, intelligent and mature enough to understand and decide herself if she is making the right choice. Who knows, maybe that will be an option? To let Liara make the decision as to whether to kill or spare it?

I could almost imagine SB turning out to be Liara's "farther.
I might just encourage Liara to kill her then.
