Since we are talking about that screenshot don't you think that Liara in that screenshot has again the same shade of blue she has on Ilium that lighter blue, in the screenshot that Liara is alone with Shepard her blue looks like her blue in ME1 but in the other her blue seams again like the one she has on Ilium.

Untrue. I've only just completed the game with my Adept Shepard, and not once did she use her SMG in cutscenes, despite the fact that they're one of her weapon proficiencies.

Tali wields her SMG the same Shepard holds his pistol during the confrontation with Zaeed if Vido escapes.

Really? I don't remember squaddies being featured in that final cutscene. All I remember is Shepard kicking an attacking varren whilst standing inside the shuttle.

Shepard and squadmates does use SMG's in cutscenes.

Gimme a few minutes and I'll capture some screenshot during the game where that happens.

It's annoying when the cutscenes force a non-pistol weapon on the Shepard or the squad mates. Especially when the game literally switches it so you have a different weapon after the cutscene.

I don't remember Shepard/squad mates holding submachine guns in cutscenes either. It's usually either the pistol or the assault rifle.

Exactly. During a cutscene. An animation that has been reused for the purposes of creating said screenshot, and to insert Garrus' sniper rifle into his hands in order to insure that the image is visually appealing.

If Bioware were to put the amount of thought into something as simple as a promotional screenshot, then I would think it would be formatted into a wallpaper. None of the others appear to have been given special treatment. The one where Liara is talking with Shepard in the background is obviously from a cutscene. I don't see why this one can't be as well.

I would be giddy for the chance to have Garrus, Tali and Liara on my squad at the same time, but I don't think it would be the realistic message to take away from the screenshot.

I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

I hope we get to use Garrus+Tali and Liara. Would be just like old times. I'm just excited for the DLC in general though.

I want visual proof. My Shepard happens to be equipped with the Tempest, a large SMG that would be extremely noticeable in cutscenes. Not once did I see her wielding one.

My Inflitrator uses the locust instead of her pistol

However, I still stand by my opinion that I do not think Bioware would alter things to the level of where it appears we have a fourth squadmate.

Why not? They'd do anything for the purposes of marketing, including ignoring the the fact that Shepard can be a woman altogether.

Promotional image discussion aside, has there been another time when Bioware have tweaked things to a comparable degree before? Because I'm going by Bioware's reputation, and as I understand it right now, the reputation says they wouldn't pull something like this for screenshot marketing.

Les, Tali uses a SMG when she confronts Legion after you do both there missions and my Soldier Shepard used a SMG a couple of times.

Les, this is the Shuriken and is used by Shepard sometimes, including Tali in cutscenes.

I'm not suggesting that this screenshot is evidence that Shepard will be accompanied by three squadmates for the duration of the Liara DLC. I am merely pointing out that a unique image has been created for the purposes of invoking nostalgia in the player, and for visual and promotional purposes.

Alright, I suppose that might be a reasonable possibility. I still doubt it, personally. But all either of us can do is guess at this point.

A unique inter-squadmate confrontation, and one featuring concerning Shepard and not squadmates.

My Shepard pulled out the Shutiken a couple of times and I can't even use SMGs....

Here's a screenshot of my soldier Shepard using the shuriken smg, if y ou look closely then you can see that Miranda is pulling forth her tempest smg.
