IDK, you could get the same dynamic if you don't Renegade up Kaidan. I think both Liara and Paragon Kaidan have lots in common.



The one thing different is the Cerberus angle. This Shepard hates Cerberus and, it seems (from ME2), so does Kaidan. Liara, on the other hand, is going to be the one that hands Shepard to Cerberus....this could cause some interesting tension in this Shepard's relationship with Liara. If you want to avoid this, though, go with Kaidan.

Oh yeah, I overlooked the whole Cerberus angle. Liara's romance would provide a quite interesting conflict in that respect, given that she handed the corpse over to Cerberus out of love and due to her desire to see Shepard revived. It's your choice, jtav!

Unlikely as it is, perhaps Sole Survivor Shepards will be able to discuss Liara's actions in handing the corpse over to Cerberus in the Liara DLC? A conversation like that could be quite interesting, especially if Liara is the player's LI.

I always felt that only a SS have real reason to pick the "So am I" option when Liara confesses her guilt in handing Shepard corpse to Cerberus.

Oh, I thought again about how this Liara DLC romance thing could play out, regarding Shepard's choices.



For Shepards that stayed faithful



1) Kiss Liara back and affirm the romance. It will remain active and continue on into ME3.

2) Tell Liara you need more time. The romance will 'end', but you will have a chance to re-romance her from scratch in ME3. This Shepard will be single until then.

3) End things with Liara. Shepard is single, and has no further chance with Liara.



For Shepards that did not stay faithful



1) Kiss Liara back and affirm the romance. It will remain active and continue on into ME3. However, Shepard will still have an active romance with her/his ME2 LI, and a confrontation scene will occur in ME3.

2) Tell Liara you need more time. The romance will 'end', but you will have a chance to re-romance her from scratch in ME3. This Shepard will continue on with their ME2 LI, but could also possibly romance Liara in ME3. If they choose to do this, a confrontation scene will occur in ME3.

3) End things with Liara. Shepard just continues on with the ME2 LI.

I doubt it. Bioware seems to want to forget about that little plot point.



Leaning towards Kaidan. There's no redemption in the works for this FemShep. Liara deserves better.

No wait, forget what I said. It's Dark Horse using images from Redemption to promote the DLC, in addition to advertising the actual comic itself. A clever piece of marketing there.

Right, looking at those three promotional images it seems that attention is focused on Liara, Feron and the Shadow Broker itself, with Tazzik also prominently featured in one of the posters. To me, that indicates that both Feron and Tazzik, as well as Liara and the Shadow Broker which was always obviously the case, will be definitely featured in the Liara DLC. Unless, of course, Dark Horse are just using these images to promote characters heavily featured in their comic series, and who may not have a prominent role in the Liara DLC. I really do hope that we get to meet both Feron and Tazzik, though.



As an aside, I suggested to ratz that Feron be voiced by Harrison Ford, and he loved the idea! 10 points to whoever correctly guesses what I am referring to. :P

I was speaking to ratz a couple of days ago, and he told me that he will be adopting a somewhat pessimistic approach to this DLC. Meaning, that regarding Feron and Tazzik, if they are featured in the DLC at all it will be extremely briefly and then largely forgotten about. He said that he expects both Shepard and Liara to discover Feron's body, with Liara explaining that he is her deceased friend, before moving on. Then, Tazzik will be briefly encountered and fought in a boss battle, before the pair are then completely forgotten about.

I hope that's not the case, but there's always a chance.

Well, I've adopted a pessimistic attitude as well.  Anything going above my expectations will just be icing on the cake.

That's all I expect from Feron/Tazzik.  I also don't expect any romance content, except for a line or two.  Plus, I don't feel Liara will be a temp squaddie, but will be off doing her own thing while Shep and team fight through the SB's goons.  You will hear her over comm link every once in awhile....there will be times she meets up with Shep and crew for more dialog, but not many times.

Now, if it's more than that, I will be like :o

See, that's where someone who is pessimistic, like ratz, will disagree. The main, driving focus of this DLC will be the "Shepard & Liara vs The Shadow Broker" plot, and story arc. Anything else is additional and expendable fluff. I disagree with him in that respect, as I do think that both Feron and Tazzik will have full speaking roles, and in addition the romance between Shepard and Liara will be featured along with the deep, intimate dialogue between the two. Gamble did say that they have been working on this DLC for a while, after all.

How come? BW have assured players that they have been working on the Liara DLC for a considerable amount of time, and that it will be the most substantial and pleasing DLC pack that they have ever released. Logically, how can both Feron and Tazzik not be featured and enjoy quite substantial speaking roles? I've love it if that were the case, and we get to converse with the pair of them, in addition to obviously reuniting with Liara and confronting the Shadow Broker with her. I also believe that there will be romance content, and that it will not be limited to just a few lines of dialogue either.

Then I will squeal. Yes, in addition to squealing upon reuniting with Liara, I will also squeal if the above happens!
